these are the steps i take to make a simple drawing into a full out digital work of art, step 1,to start, i sketch and draw out a base, then redo it with ink, add cross hatching for shade, erase most of the links, then Scan and edit, step 2, adjust darkness levels of lines ,add background colour and add a base colour to every thing, step3, add very dark shading to the body's, add deeper smaller shade to give texture and life like, add light tones to give life like, add white dots and lines to give glossy touch. add dark spots and random smudges for dirty grain feel, add background, then various other touch ups then finished, all done in a weeks worth time.
