I'm redoing my refs because I got sick of the old ones. Chibi refs will stay, unless like Rana I've made her a much more major character, in which case she's getting her own.

Al is the villain of his story. He's a geneticist from the race of Imyets.
He was born with a defect on his left hand, giving him an extra finger, which was an omen of bad stuff in the Imyet culture. His parents abandoned him, and as he was growing up, he was excluded from everything, since everyone thought he was evil.
As an adult, Al went into genetics and was quite proficient at it. He discovered that he could bio-engineer his own race that would love him and be perfect, and thus the concept of the Alimyets was born, (yes, this leads into the Space Ace Squad.)
Al used the fact that the lower classes of Imyets were rebelling to try and get the empress to fund his project, and she bought into his suggestion that she needed a race of her own to preserve her bloodline.
The Empress eventually ends up realizing what Al's really doing, with his planned genocide of the Imyets to make way for his new race, and fights back. Al ends up killing her and using her genetic material in the making of the Alimyets.
Al's assistant Ni has long realized what's going on and is terrified.
Al tries to crown Ni queen of this new race, after the Imyets wipe their remanding populations out in a civil war, and Ni is horrified.
Al then shoots himself, since he knows he's not perfect and will never fit into his own perfect race.
Ni also ends up dying, and the Alimyets end up taking over the planet with the instructions Dr. Al gave them.
