EDIT: Decided to change the category this. It shows how i draw but hopefully people will get an idea on how they can draw using my technique by viewing the progression drawing. Basically i make a almost stick dummy outline then draw the faces and work my way along the body. I do use references and I even use one of the wooden drawing maniquins! *tho it has gone missing here the past few weeks* Well anyway, Hopefully someone will find it usefull and pic up a tip or two by just looking at how i draw. This is a drawing progression to show how i do my drawings. I did it this way to hopefully help those see how i draw and hopefully gain some insight on how to draw themselves. i mainly start off with the a sort of stick-man dummy outline and start work on the faces. working my way down the body before adding in major details. i always start with the face first and work my way down. the last one i decided last minute to change a few things on the girl because it didn't look right to me. the two characters are OC's of me and ~lady-obsessed and they are both in my wifey's Spiron X story.
I decided to put Fu and Evaristus together because in an old rp, Fu has a crush on evari. That and i thought it would be a pleasent surprised for Lady to see Evari. Fu in the story doesn't really partner up with him.
That thing on the guy's back is a weapon that just sort of floats/hovers there.

its wonderful to see your process, this could be used to improve my own skills (though i really only draw in class, its the only time i really have hte tools on hand to)

really thats the whole point. i do plan on making a drawing tutorial at some point i just haven't gotten around to it. So instead i posted this to show how i draw. it really changed from when we were together with the whole gang back in the good ol'days of HS. seeing my artwork from then makes me cringe. Anyway, i did it this way to hopefully show others how i draw and how it can help them with their own drawings. but since is just a progression and doesn't say anything its not considered a tutorial. = = oh well. i know what you mean by 'only time to draw' i can only draw really when i'm at my comp and thats not very often.

lol, i understand, i do kinda miss hanging out with everyone, i still talk to jakie every so often, but other then her, i dont hear from anyone anymore (very rarly i hear from jen and jacolyn), which is a real drag, but its all good, to be honest ive become a bit of a guitarest so thats where all my skill building free time has been spent. anyways, thanks for this post.

yeah but it is mainly just on the girl. i didn't like how she looked and alot of her was not correct anyway so i just did it all at once since the majority of the drawing process was already shown anyway.

my ideas just progress while im in the process of drawing. so if i ever have somthing in mind the way that i want to draw, it NEVER turns out how i want it too in the end.
for example, if i ever want to draw boys they always end up as girls, and the other way around.
i defenitly need more practice !!

Aaah so cute! And so nice to see Evari too. I should draw him again...Isn't that outfit based on one of my alternate designs? I like the addition you made to it, like the sash and the decoration on his trouser-y things. And you even threw in the shuriken I randomly drew 'cause I didn't know what weapon Evari had
Fu looks so gorgeous! You draw such pretty girls, it's not fair. I especially love her hair.
And 'tis so interesting to see how you draw. I don't do it much different, 'cept I can't work from stick firgures. I just draw a blank body and go from there.

lol yes it is! i based it mainly off your alternate design with a lil of the older one. i usually like to mix it up a bit with my changes and additions when i draw other SX oc. lol, the shuriken was added in cuz he needed 'something' in comparision to fu. Fu was so eye catching that it left him a lil lagging so i threw it in there to grab some more attention to him and it turned out better then i thought it would! LOL i rmember drawing a bow for him in his older design but who says you have to stick with one weapon?
XD thanks! i had to rework her a few times but this version works for her older self. Im so use to drawing boys that my girls started to lack but i'm glad you think otherwise! i have more SX pictures i never uploaded which i will eventually. This is actually one of the pics i was going to offer to you for our collab if your still interested. i plan to draw a few more, one being an actual KH fanart and another being a FF fanart. lemme know if your still up for the collab.

I do always love your little additions. They always compliment the characters so well. And I'm genrally jealous that I can't come up with that kind of thing
Oh, absolutely still up for a collab. I finish most of my work by the end of this week and literally have nothing else to do for a month. Plus I think colouring your pictures would be great fun. They're so pretty.

yeah i have MS debut 4 and it says it works on vista. i couldn't use my old debut cuz it wasn't compatable at all. i'll work on it tonight tho~ you should see the result in a few days.

Wow, this is pretty cool. It's always kind of nice to see how others begin and complete their drawings, and I'm always amazed at how clean you stuff is! *jealousjealousjealous*
Although, that's also how I kind of start too. Start with guidelines and work my way down from the head. It seems the simplest way to start for me,and it's nice to know that others do the same sort of thing (so I'm not doing anything wrong XD )
And I always wondered who Fu would pair up/be somewhat romantically involved with. XD FuEvari looks cute <33

lol my stuff isn't really as clean as it appears. i erase ALOT and then i use PS to get rid of the smudges. hahahah. i use refereces too before i make guidelines. its hard for me to come up with poses so i take some from other things. = = iuse to be able to draw without guidelines or references but that was back when i first started drawing and i just drew whatever without really caring how anotomically incorrect it was. i still have my first anime drawings from middle school! ahhaah
Fu is kind of the odd one out cuz she's older then Ren and Nar but younger then Zurai. She's also labeled as a sort of baby-sitter and very much to her dismay. but it make her more mature in the end i guess. Wifey and i were playing around saying she and karushi or zurai would have angel/demon ferret babies. hahahahah. Fu's sister is also pretty much odd one out. i have her sort of paired up with dai dai's feredire but nothing happens, its not cannon either.

This is really amazing. I've never seen a work in progress quite like this and it's really cool to see it come together. It's also very pretty, btw.
