Well, it's strange that the mothman hasn't been heard from in years.

I'm more in the middle of a believer and non-believer. I just see evidence of many people reporting cryptids with the same general appearance, and that is enough to make me curious, but my mind is confused as to whether or not it is the truth. I end up contradicting myself a lot because of this, being both a person who values facts and evidence and someone who (at least partially) believes in things like cryptids, tarot and the like.

Well, we still haven't explored many areas of the planet. So who knows what's out there?

True, we do know more about the surface of the moon than what's at the bottom of the ocean.

Or in the forests for that matter. Which makes me furious why some people don't believe Bigfoot is real.

If Bigfoot is from an actual rare species, it could possibly go extinct before we even finish researching every piece of land and species in every forest.

There's no guarantee of that, since they're resilient and more cleaver than we think. Why do you think no bodies of them have ever been found?
Because they bury their dead, and they become aggressive when strangers enter their territory.

I agree about the resilient thing, but wouldn't things like deforestation and climate change affect them in some way? Apart from some marine creatures, most animals wouldn't be able to adapt quickly enough to such a rapid change. That does depend on a Bigfoot's lifespan, at what age they mature and the availability of a mate, as animals that can reproduce more quickly should theoretically be better and better adapted to changes with each generation.
There could be many theories for why there aren't any bodies, like cannibalism for example (as animals like canines and lions chew on bones both to strengthen their teeth and stop them from going dull) if food is hard to find for them, but I don't know enough about Bigfoot to think of a theory with some sort of evidence yet.

Well, Bigfoot lives in unexplored areas, untouched by man. And only rogue Sasquatchs are known to attack people or kidnap women to impregnate and children to raise. Bigfoot survives off of berries, fish and other kinds of meat.

It would be nice to find out more about them (both Bigfoot and Sasquatch. As a side note, I wonder if their species could be related to each other?) so we can finally know the answers to those questions.

Bigfoot and Sasquatch are the same. Sasquatch is the Native American name that translates to Bigfoot.

And also, the Sasquatch communicates by howls, whoops, grunts and knocking on wood like trees. Want to listen to a howl sound effect? It's really creepy!

Trust me, that's no dog. The only canine you are hearing is the one barking in the distance along with the Bigfoot howl.
In truth, dogs are scared to death of Bigfoot.

CorvidVolk In reply to Lucasfan375 [2017-08-20 15:57:12 +0000 UTC]
I didn't. Is it just mimicking sounds without knowing what they mean, or forming actual sentences with meaning?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
Lucasfan375 In reply to CorvidVolk [2017-08-20 16:07:36 +0000 UTC]
I think it just mimics the sounds it hears. But, yeah. It pretty much avoids humans. They won't attack unless you attack them. For example, there was a story where a hunter tried to shoot one, and he ended up getting impaled on a tree.

Interesting, so I suppose it's behaviour is kind of like that of a wolf or bear, as they generally avoid humans (wolves see us as another predator so will avoid us as much as possible) but will defend themselves if they have to.
