yay~ finally, something i can post~ but this one was kinda forced cuz of my current artblock and also becuz i was covered in sweat during the wip due to the sizzling heat of yesterday...(which reached well above 40C!
first summer in LA and i'm already dieing OTL)this is for the Animethon art contest. (yes, i'm on a contest rampage again XD)
the theme is suppose to be 'tea party' but all i did was drew the charas with tea cups...my only connection to the theme
o well 8D i ain't making no changes.
to be honest, i think everything in this pic doesn't make any sense at all. (i mean what's with the bg?! and the weird puffy smoke??) i have no idea what was going inside my brain when i was drawing this
OKay... this pic took around 13 hrz, give or take.

omg...i just saw the poster that u talked about...i never knew they tweaked it THAT much...
I'm actually very disappointed myself since they could've just asked me to make the size adjustment instead of them attempting it and butchering part of the pic during the process : (

well i don't kno about the printing process, i just gave them the pic at the default resolution of 300. i did send them my psd file.

I love the gradation of the background colors, and the circular window is a nice addition.
I like the swirls of steam coming off of the drinks; whether or not you do.
Her dress is gorgeous and all the colors used for shading it amazes me. I love the little details on the dress like the lace and her bracelet.
His suit looks good. 
The hair on both of them looks good and there expressions are enjoyable.

but ya, it costs so much to come here. The admission itself is like so expensive, $35 for 1 day and $50-$65 for 4 days..
good thing i'm volunteering so i get a full refund if i finish all my hrz X3
but i hope u can attend it one day~ since it's suppose to be the largest convention in north america~
but i hope i don't get disappointed..
