Description
This is my first serious attempt at painting. I look at it and see room for improvement on a grand scale but I suppose its not a bad first try!Acrylic on Bristol Board A3

I am very envious. If I try to draw or paint a picture now it looks the same as it did when I was 5 years old...and I'm 59! Great job. And for a first attempt...AMAZING!

It took so long to finish but I got there in the end. I started a tiger painting a couple of days ago, fingers crossed I'll finish it alive

if i did. i would want it for my own
its hard enough getting NZ Lottery numbers hahaha

Cosmic-Cherry-Tree In reply to smudge-92 [2010-04-29 05:25:30 +0000 UTC]
I can't blame you for wanting it for your own
I don't even bother buying a ticket. After watching my mother spend about £40 on the lottery a week and winning about £100 in a good year, I figured the odds aren't worth it.
I'm hungry but I hate breakfast so I never know what to eat. What would be nice is a donut and coffee, but no donuts so I'll have to make do with coffee.
I guess if its morning here, it must be evening in NZ?

I can't buy them yet..
Gotta wait till i am 18 in September. Will probably buy one then and only then. Apparently i have the most luck in my family. May win big *hands you money
*
Hmmm.. You've bmade me hungry now, thats rather not fair
I never have breakfast either .. lol, waste of time
Hmm, well now its a little confusing. i now am at night. I think the UK is about 12 hrs behind us
so, wait. yeah it would have been evening

Cool, your 18th birthday is a good excuse to have a knees up and drink far too much
Sorry about making you feel hungry....I hope you have better luck hunting nice donuts than me. Our usual bakery sells 'em but they are awful. Believe it or not, they are crunchy around the outside, gross.
Have a nice weekend

Hahaha, Possibly drinking..
lol
No big part for me this year, for my trip
$4800 NZ Dollars = £2231.52
Hahaha, so no birthday for me
Hahah, nah, its all good.
Plus Donuts are a 15min drive away, and am kinda lazy
Ew, yeah doesn't sound nice
My fav is just normal sugar donuts or covered in chocolate
Thanks, and to you too!

Wow, £2231 is tons of money. Where will your trip take you? I spent a month in Canada a few months after I turned 18. You are very lucky living in New Zealand, it looks awesome. Rotorua sounds interesting, with all the geothermal stuff there.
Bleurgh, I'm hungover this morning. Last night we were sloshing back Jack Daniels & coke.
Ah well, it seemed like a good idea at the time.

Thanks, but i envy you. You got to go to canada Thats one of my destinations that i yet to go to!
New Zealand is great, (i probably sound abit bias though).
Good luck with your hangover
Sounds like you had fun... (ish)
Everything seems like a good idea at the time, until you reach the finale!

South America is amazing. My fella works for the British Museum and he's working in loads of places in the Amazon for 2 years. I'll be travelling back and forth from London to Brazil, Venezuela and a bit of Peru too with our daughter. The wildlife is amazing! I want to make a side trip to Machu Piccu and the Galapagos Islands at some point but all these flights are costing a fortune as it is. You'll love it when you go.

Yeah, I'd like to get some photos of a jaguar but they are notoriously hard to track down and it can go wrong too. I don;t fancy running away from one with my 5 year old daughter on my back! Don't go forgetting your camera, like I did last time
It is very humid, which was what struck me first and then the noisiness in the mornings especially, when all the critters wake up. I really hope September comes quickly for you. I'm at home now for a month or so, until we can pay for another flight, so I'm missing my fella and can't wait to get back to him with a suitcase full of candy
Ho hum, London just isn't as exotic and oddly cold for May. Darned Northerly winds...
Have a nice day mate

Hahaha, It would be awesome. But yeah, Running away would never be a fun thing..
Well, if that did happen, at least you would have an amazing story to tell your friends and family
And, i will try not too.. *trys to find it*
Candy...
Hope it comes soon for you too *speeds up time*
London will be a great place to go.. shopping.. (although i hate shopping ) and history
If ya like exotic, people say NZ is a place to go. (although, i have to say that )
Hope you have a nice day too, and a good week ahead of you

London is good for markets, art galleries and museums but there is definitely nothing exotic about it (I hate shopping too).
Weird, I woke up to frost this morning. May is supposed to be early summer!
Have a good week too and take it easy
