Description
For me, this fractal's mood is of calmness and inertia. The dark swirls suggest that something sinister lies beneath the surface, however, and that not all is as tranquil as it seems.Or perhaps I'm just projecting; I'm not sure. What do you think?
(Made with Apophysis 2.09, with some major colour adjustments and a manual blur in Photoshop.)

I think this is my favorite of what you have done.
It is beautiful and layered....and there is something compelling about it.
I can see where the "compelling" factor could be coupled with however a person is feeling at the time.

Thanks Jess. This one is different from most of my others - I didn't start from scratch, but used a random fractal as the base. The 'depth blur' effect isn't actually part of the fractal itself; it's something I added later in Photoshop (I wonder if that's considered cheating...). I'm really glad that you like it, in any case.

I doubt it is cheating...you classify it as a "manipulation" so...

Thanks for the fave. You're probably right... Like I said, I think I'm projecting my current feelings onto this fractal. This one deviated quite a lot from the original concept whilst I was making it, as often happens!

Looking back at this a couple of days after making it, I think I agree. I suppose that when I was writing the description, I was still thinking of the original, unedited version, the mood of which was much darker. Thanks for looking, in any case.
