Description
Many thanks to ^SaTaNiA for the DD! I was very surprised and pleased when I found out this morning.--
I had the idea for this fractal a few days ago. It's essentially a simple Spherical gasket, but taken from a strange angle, and with some added details. I was aiming to create both a mystical and a slightly mechanical effect, hence the title, which is taken from a Joe Satriani album.
Made with Apophysis 7X.

Thank you very much for your feedback and for sharing your interpretation - I'm always interested to hear what other people see in my work. I'm especially pleased that you liked the textures/lighting, as that's probably the part I worked hardest on in this piece. Thanks again, and I hope you have a good weekend.

This has a lovely sense of energy. Perhaps universes being born from collisions of many-dimensional membranes.

Oh, wow, thanks for the feature! It's really well-presented, and helped me find a few that I would have missed otherwise.

Really like this... I guess it's just the shimmer on the ball bearings. But maybe I see energy connecting them all too - but then, that might just be me... thanks for posting this!

Thanks for your feedback - a feeling of energy and movement is definitely what I was aiming for with this one.

Love the title in conjunction with the piece. A lot of titles are sometimes seem less important as parts of the art, but for this one it makes it more meaningful for me.

Ah, thanks! I think for abstract/fractal art, the title is actually one of the most important parts - it can completely change the way we interpret an image. I'm glad you think my choice of title works.

I think the same way. And yeah, I'm glad I like it too, or I might be arguing with you right now, which I hate! Arguments on this website suck. You expect everyone to just be friendly and share their stuff--whether it's some epic painted landscape, a cool robot in Maya or some crappy little comic in paint--and sometimes people lash out. The truth is there is no right answer to art, you know? Anyway, even though there is no right answer, I think Engines Of Creation is a pretty damn good answer to the question "What should the title of this be?"

Hm, I can see what you mean about arguments on dA... I suppose it's natural for people to take feedback personally if they have invested a lot of time and feeling into their artwork (regardless of the quality of the outcome). I usually find that people receive negative feedback well, as long as it's expressed in a constructive way, and doesn't come across as a personal attack. Thanks again for looking, in any case.

I love how it reminds me of the atom in so many ways, and how the title "Engines of Creation" rings true for this fact! Congrats on the DD!

You got at least two of my most favorite kinda images... galaxy -like spirals.... and lines& traces that look like thunders... not to talk about the bubble(fractal - like) looking spheres........AWESOME.......
