It's been a while since my last upload... I've had a bit of an art block lately, but I have a couple of new ideas now, so you should be seeing more from me. This one is partly inspired by a description in Book 6 of Virgil's Aeneid, where he describes Atlas carrying the vault of the heavens, 'inset with gleaming stars'.I think I'm gradually starting to understand how Xaos works... I've never really used it before, but it was quite useful here.
A brief tutorial on stars is on its way, eventually.

cool Β inspiration! i was thinking it looked like jewels in a crown, which sort of fits. the blue part make me think of lacquer or cloisonne. Β

I think this is absolutely beautiful. I would love to be able to use this piece with some of my stuff. I'm in a small fire performance group called Circus Centripetus and I think this would look great integrated with some of our propaganda.
