Description
Usually, if you keep your feelings to yourself, hide them and pretend that they aren't there, they will eventually subside. In some cases, however, they intensify instead. Despite your best efforts, the feelings work their way insidiously through your defenses to the surface, and a point comes when they can no longer be contained.Made with Apophysis 2.09.

humm...that hasn't ever worked for me. Oh, I can hide them and for the most part contain them, altogether too well...but...they don't seem to subside. But it helps to write them out.
I wish you didn't seem so conflicted, Chris....but life has a way of putting us through the fire. We must find the best way out...find the better way...and if we didn't do it right the first time, it helps to think back and see where we went wrong.
now...about the fractal. you know I am technically clueless, lol. but.
this is lovely and your words are a perfect fit.
It seems to me to be something powerful...life giving almost.
Nice work, dear.

I find that writing is a good way to deal with difficult emotions. My poetical skills are somewhat limited, though, so I wouldn't upload anything until I've had a lot more practice, probably. I find that fractal art is an interesting way to express yourself: there's something satisfying about the way that it allows you predict and control the outcome of every variable - unlike in real life, I suppose. I feel that it allows you to express yourself in a logical and controlled way, but still allows room for creativity and individuality. It's not really a cure for those negative feelings, but it makes me feel better if I can use them to do something creative.
I can see what you mean about 'life giving' - actually, when I first made this one, it was green, not red, and I was going to call it 'Origin'. Having thought about it for a long time, though, I think I prefer this version. I'm glad you like it, anyway.

it is...writing can be used for anyone to help deal with "things."
Most people can benefit from sorting their thoughts out this way.
Ahh...control. Some people need more of that than others.
I need A LOT, lol.
I think you are wise beyond your years. And I think you understand yourself, and some of the human struggles we endure, better than most.
We all see what we want to in "art." In words...in the sky, even.

Thank you very much. I have several different versions of this on my computer, each of which means something different to me. It took a while to decide which one to upload... I'm glad that you like it.
