I thought it was about time that I showed how Nova's and Thoe's relationship developed and changes over time. As you can see here, Thoe was not always his black self...he was a fire red phoenix, which was the original colour of the house Ignitus Phoenicans. The gold hints in his feathers were to be a symbol of his power and status amoungst the empire and it was hoped it would allure the Queen.

In the first image, we see Thoe holding little Nova. Thoe was very different back then...and had a hard time saying No to Nova with her big huge eyes Thoe had become 'softer' during the time When Nova was young and had forgotten about all his ambitions. Things were simpler as he, Celestia and Nova traveled the stars raising Nova like his own.

The second image shows his fall from grace so to say. As Nova got older, all of the ambitions and brainwashing had finally returned. His obsession with Nova grew each day as she became stronger, more powerful and more beautiful. It was at this time, that Celestia could see that there was a dark side to him....
