The barren landscape is beautiful, in a morbid way. The Alicorn skull is a nice touch.

This part is very interesting. When you look back at the show, it's almost like this explains why Celestia hates Discord so much, besides being evil and harassing the Equine race, and why except for Clestia, Luna, Cadence, and whoever Cadance's parent(s) are/is, there really aren't any Alicorns in the show. You think since they are considered the Royal Family there would be hundreds of them either seen at the Castle or strolling the streets of Canterlot.
