Wow, this is absolutely beautiful. <3 What a gorgeous flow of purple light Luna's tail and mane are. And even though Twilight's purples don't shine, she isn't lost in the picture. Instead she contrasts Luna beautifully, especially with her own pink highlights. This is a really excellent piece whether one ships it or not. I had never given much thought to this pairing before (or any pony pairing, really), but this makes me want to give it a closer look.

In general, I'm not a fan of shipping, but a piece this good deserves kudos regardless. (It doesn't hurt that, from this angle, it could simply be an affectionate nuzzle between two close friends with a deep bond.)
