I love the way you integrated the rainbow in this. You sure give her a majestic and mystic appearance in this. Are you a bit worried that some elements you put in this may not be canon? However, with the mysterious box, the old castle and the tree of Harmony, you shouldn't be. I still wonder if they are going to rebuilt the castle with magic or by hoof. Well, at least Twilight will have a full huge library of books to study.
I still think that Hasbro made the biggest mistake of revealing the "Rainbow Power" way too early.

Given how much inspiration Ponies seems to pull from Sailor Moon, I'm confident I can guess well.
My ideas/thoughts as I was working on this:
Painting is intended to depict Twilight Sparkle's journey of self discovery this season. A Princess discovering her abilities and expanding her mind [magic], culminating in a transcendent experience at a crossroads of destiny.
The extra heads symbolize moments/times of self-realization (of her powers/abilities).
The rainbow emerging from the white light and falling across her wings represents this new [rainbow] power.
The extra wings symbolize the support she receives from those who guide her.
The Tree of Harmony splits open into the "Flower of Magic" -- Where her Kingdom stands, ready to be rebuilt for her rule as Equestria's newest Princess.
I sketched this back in December and worked on it periodically over the following months... Thanks to them revealing the rainbow power thing, it made it easier to guess the canon...

If Twilight has become a hydra from the chest she'll never be alone, with 4 other heads to keep her company. Even more so if they all share the same memories.

Good point. And if anyone knows about Warhammer40k, this looks like the Imperial Aquila( the two headed eagle with one head blind and looking towards the past and leaving it behind and the other looking at the future to take whatever comes.

Born, because Celestia needed her subjects to breed her a willing servant to deal with all the stuff she didn't want to bother herself with. Mostly stuff she herself managed to start in the first place, but still...
Not to mention how much bigger role the others play and then it's Twi who gets all the glory (hogger)...
