Been working on this the last several weeks... usually when I was feeling blue as a way to raise and calm my spirits.I imagine Princess Celestia, with the exception of the Summer Sun Celebration, prefers to rise the sun quietly on her own. A morning meditation for a serene leader with a soulful sol. Β

Absolutely beautiful! I love the calming, serene environment. Fantastic work with the lighting and colors too. I REALLY love the way you rendered Celestia's mane and tail; they're so elegant and magical.

You definitely captured the quiet solitude as she does her daily chore. She looks stunning, almost a shame the other ponies can't see, but in the stillness of nature it's perfect. Nice use of shadows for Canterlot, and lovely lighting for everything.

Oh, you gave her a real anatomy? I mean I think I see bones, muscles and veins, but the preview is too small to say for sure. I don't know what to think of that - it's a realism/cuteness tradeoff. I think I like it, but I'm not sure. I certainly like those wings though - they are realistic, but without any tradeoffs.
On the other hand I don't like the heavy makeup; I don't like it on humans too.
And for some reason the castle looks more cartoonish compared to the rest of the picture. I think it might be because edges aren't "eroded" by the strong light.
I really like the golden boots and the fact that they cast reflections. Oh, and tail/mane.

Celestia is my fave character and I just started fallowing you a few days ago and then BAM you hit me with this. The lighting is fantastic. I want to see a little more musculature detail though.Β

Oh and a few things I noticed. On the hind legs there seem to be a few lighter areas that to me look like layering between the tail and the legs got scrambled a bit. And I think her horn should be glowing.
Also the wings, they look realistic with all the primeries and the secondaries, and majestic as hell!

The lighter areas are reflected light from her golden shoes. Though perhaps I should make them more yellow to emphasize that effect.Β
Debated whether or not to have her horn glowing... I suppose for the narrative it should be.Β

Oh I was mislead by the shapes and direction... they just line up so well with the flow of colors in the tail.
