A personalized style on something popular is always comforting to see.
This piece is so charming, and if I had to pick something out as my favorite, it would be their expressions. Someone posted a comment about being reminded of art from the 1950s...? I agree, but it seems like a modern take on that kind of "fifties" theme.

That style... these ponies.
A picture of an equine drawn just that style, some 30 years ago, made me the person I am today.
I can easily imagine a child watching this picture today and it shaping, changing their life permanently.

This art-style reminds me of one that was apparently popular in the 1950s and was used mainly in advertising. (My grandmother had a bunch of postcards that were done in it.)

To be honest, I think Princess Luna should have stayed looking like Nightmare Moon but gone back to being nice. That would have been AWESOME.

Love it! The manes look messy yet elegant at the same time. I also like that you made them mirror opposites. The actual height difference between Luna and Celestia weirds me out. You'd think she'd grow some after 1000 years...

Do you have your other Hasbro ponies uploaded anywhere? I LOVED the one you had of Nightglider in your sig for a while, but it's gone now.
Also... What do you think of plushies in this style? I'm seriously considering trying to make them- somewhat reminiscent of these types of deer plushies: [link] but obviously more pony-esque. Of course I wouldn't want to do something like this without your permission, because I wouldn't have gotten the idea if it weren't for your gorgeous drawings!

I've thought about making plushies, yeah. Just don't have the time really. Or the patience.
