Thats why it would have been a failed experiment, the company is trying to create a bioweapon that has the ability to move and be agile in many environments, easily switching between adaptations due to the over-progression of the virus (the map of this experimental base would be half submerged in a stinky liquid that resembles something like sewage but is mostly hazardous waste mixed with chemical water). But it's also it's downside, not only does it speed up the adaptation process but it also speeds up the overall lifespan and deterioration of the creature (considered that it is mainly made up of borrowed and medically enhanced flesh). Later on in the story the creature is considered unstable and a failure, which is later removed and disposed of by the company. However, there would be no record of this bio-hazard disposal, clearly it escapes and seeks some kind of source of food for survival. YOUR FACE LOLZ

Well not so much writing as it is just story concepts in progress at the moment ^_^'
It's relatively based off the original Resident Evil survival horror gaming series (anything passed RE 4 is total douche-crap, sorry to offend if you're into RE5 or anything) but the only thing it has in common with Capcoms franchise is that it's very much involved with the company Umbrella and Tricel (which is just Umbrella with a new name). The rest of the story is made up and there is much more on that subject in my Bevira gallery. Most people on DA or who watch me don't pay attention to the story though xD So it's nice to know that there are at least a few people who think it's interesting ^_^
It's a story based off a project and series of experiments being conducted at a hidden military base called Flyhound, it's most definitely NOT in the best interest of the world I'll have you know. The most recent story updates are here: LINK

Really? I didn't think Shattered Memories was TOO awful, maybe a bit repetitive here and there, then again I didn't actually play it, I watched my BF play it. He liked it a lot, except that probably shouldn't count because he's not exactly a nostalgic player if you know what I mean.
He likes to believe that sometimes games are better because they are newer than their older versions, which is pretty closed minded in my opinion, but then again the topic in general (newer/better vs nostalgia/originality) is objective.

I know what you mean, but I feel like the newer games focus less on puzzlers and actual horror and more on fighting and headache inducing noises, but that is just my experience and you're right; it is objective.

Hopefully after I'm finished earning my Bachelors in Game Design and Concept Art I can help reboot the survival horror gaming franchise, bring back the real fun.
Need more Survival Horror and Strategic Puzzles
Need less First Person Shooter / War zombie action crap.
At least 3rd person view had great designs not only in character and creature designs but archetectural designs as well, you could see all the details because its primary focus was the horror and creepy aspect of the game.
In modern FPS / war games, everything is moving too fast paced for any player to really appreciate the art of making videogames.
