I love how "in the moment" this is, and the fact that you chose black and white, because that just seems to add that special something to it. I agree that it is a shame that you could not get a different angle, but when people get in your way, what can you do? I'm wondering why you scrapped this because I think it has great potential.

Really? I just thought that the angle was messed up so you can't fully appreciate it. Thus, it isn't worth staying in the main gallery.

Oh, I didn't think the angle was THAT bad for it to be placed in your scraps, but that decision is up to you of course.

Pity you couldn't get a different angle. Nice hues and contrast on the band! I noticed the angles (horizontals & verticals) are off by a few degrees, but you could easily fix that with a graphic program.

As usual, I'm totally jealous. First of the shot and then of your travel. You sure get around. Good choice of subject and the clarity is very good. If I were going to add any critical comment I would wish that you had rotated the shot more toward the shooter's left. That would have staged the band better. They don't need the open market in the background for authenticity. Shooting with only the building as backdrop would have made a very intimate shot. But good pic, overall.

I agree! Some horrible woman on my left wouldn't get out of the way. I asked her to move, but she refused. Thus, I had to content myself with the angle I was offered.
Thanks for the comment!

Don't you hate that! That's why I always carry a can of tear gas in my cam pouch. Quick funny story. I was shooting this past Christmas at a city center with a huge Christmas tree. There is a giant black granite backdrop that was reflecting the lights of the tree like a prism. I'm trying to take the shot when this jerk gets in my way. Not only will he not move but he starts doing weird exercises in front of MY SHOT! It takes dumb ol' me a minute to realize that what is really going on is this is a MUslim man praying to Mecca in front of a giant reflection of a Christmas tree! How good is that? Unfotunatey, the shot didn't come out. But I'm going to fake it next year. (Tell no one.)
