Description My first attempt at coloring with photoshop. Crap. Can anyone tell me how to keep the orignal lines of the drawing? I seem to have...lost them. XD

It's so hard when you're just self-studying a program. I have to practice more, I guess. This is just practice with an old deviation of mine. I think the original looks better, cause his hair looks like cheese here.

I've never used photoshop. Is it hard?

At first. When you get the hang of it, it'll be easy.

I'm always trying to fathom how it would work. ^^

I wish I had hotoshop too. I just did this at school in one of the labs for Multimedia students. XD It's open to everyone anyway.

it's not practice that you need....you need to study all about photoshops...there are many tricksters to do the job....

Layers. When it comes to photoshop and just about all the great artwork (and no *yeesh* not mine, I dont have the patience for it) is done utilizing layers. Right-click on everything. When you make a copy of a layer and then right-click on that (I think) and go for properties one of the drop-downs you get a whole bunch of options. If you choose "Multiply" and put the copy layer on top, the other layer on the bottom, and your colour layers inbetween those two you can colour around and "under" your lines but the lines will stay on top--not lost! Make each section that you're working on a different layer, this helps to make every single bit perfect.

I really like you're first attempt, you did really well, especially not knowing all the tricks and tweeks. I've only been messing around with photoshop for about 3-4 months now so I hardly know anything about it. It's a bad-ass program though. ^__^
