Now don't get me wrong, i love Dr. Eggman, however if its a choice who i like more between Eggman and Robotnik (Aosth or SatAm and even Underground), then i pretty much HATE Dr. Eggman! XDRobotnik has got to be my most Favorite Video Game/Cartoon Villain ever! Dr. Eggman is kinda cool for trying to upgrade the "classic eggman/robotnik" design, but he should have never replaced the True Dr. Julian Ivo Robtnik!
All Eggman seems to be reduced to at the end of most of the newer sonic games, is realizing that there is an even bigger threat to the world compared to him, and then helps sonic defeat it, and usually its his own Fault that more powerful threat even exists to begin with! XP I.E. :
-Sonic Adventure
-Sonic Adventure 2 battle
-Sonic Heroes
-Shadow the Hedgehog (partially, since he didn't create black shadow the Alien)
-Sonic Unleashed (he caused the "bigger threat" but didn't actually help sonic stop it! XP )
and that's all i can think of for now! Anyway, I'd like to know just who out there likes Robotnik more and who likes Eggman more, and give a short reason! XD

The issue about Robotnik is that Sega of America changed the name without permission and Sega of Japan had to deal with that whole mess for years.
If wasn't enough DiC made a knock-off of the character which Sega themselves wasn't really happy.
Specially considering DiCs bad choices for redesigning stablished characters.
It's funny that Dr. Robotnik could be translated from Czech as "Dr. Slave" which sounds fitting since robots are mechanical slaves who'll work till they break.
So, the american character is a slave of his own ambitions while Dr. Eggman is a much better villain who can even antecipate his defeats and return even from the void.
Robotnik was so silly that he wasted his time cursing Sonic in Sonic SATAM that resulted in having himself killed.

I like the Archie Eggman the best as I felt he was more evil and threating than any other version of Robotnik or Eggman.

Perhaps, but personally I love Aosth Dr. Robotnik the most! He's sinister but goofy unintentionally most of the time, but awesome in general even if he is weird! XD And thats not to say i Hate Dr. Eggman, cause i don't! especially his Sonic Boom counterpart, reminding me slightly of Aosth's Dr. Robotnik. in fact, the Sonic Boom Cartoon just reminds me of a modern version of Aosth to a degree!!! XD I love it!

When I first heard of this "Eggman" Is Hentai Adventure. I thought Eggman was a whole new villain. I groveled in disgust when the ugly truth came to fruition. Eggman sucks! Robotnik for life!

AoSTH Robotnik is not a villain, he's a clown.
Eggman from the original source material is the better villain. He doesn't overly obsessive to the point of overlooking to some important factors in an effort to concentrate on an important goal. Original Eggman almost killed Sonic on more than one occasion. (Sonic 1, 2, CD, 3 & Knuckles, Adventure 1 & 2, Sonic Battle, Unleashed, and Generations) And unlike TMS/Sonic X's Eggman, Original Eggman doesn't care for Sonic.
