Viconia, Drow Priestess of Shar from the PC games 'Baldur's Gate' and 'Baldur's Gate 2'.Here she is using her power to win a few friends over to her side... considering how she speaks to the other NPC's in the game, these are probably the only friends she will have

Having looked at it for a while now, I can see what you mean. Her head is twisted almost 90 degrees... a person can do that, but I don't know... maybe its the hair or the muscles on the neck.

Perhaps rotating her body a bit, so more of her full body is facing the camera, would help...

Maybe. I'm not sure if I have the original work files for this piece though... I lost a few when my PC crashed a while ago and I don't know if I'd feel up to starting it all over again.

I've been playing the game lately, but following the good path, so I've left Viconia behind. I really love that your piece gives her life beyond the screen

Viconia will only leave if the reputation ever goes above 18, and reputation always drops 2 points when she's in the party, so you can hire her with reputation 20 and she won't ever leave...

You can get Viconia to change her alignment to neutral... if you're playing a male and 'romance' her, but only much, much later on if you have Throne Of Bhaal installed.
Although I've played many games, I do like doing and viewing BG Art most of all. I think because we've never really seen them before (apart from their faces, basically), so there's a bit more interpretation to be had and its fun bringing them to life

I have to admit, I've never played as a male, therefore never romanced her, but I know what you mean.
I don't know what it is lately, I've been so obsessed with BG fan art! I've been getting so much inspiration, from galleries on DA such as yours but I don't know where to start- you all think of the coolest senarios to place them in!

I'm afraid I don't really know what to say that will help... I just started by doing a few portrait pictures of the characters and once I'd got how I wanted them to look I found it easier to do the other scenarios I wanted to illustrate, and then more ideas have just kept popping into my head.

I use Poser 7 and Victoria 3 from Daz3D. I had no idea what I was doing at first, but soon I was getting some pretty good results from renders.

No, I mean controlling undead in Baldur's Gate.

Undead clerics control undead instead of destroying them. To control or destroy undead a cleric has to be twice the level of the undead creature.

Only evil clerics can, IIRC. Once they're a high enough level their 'Turn Undead' ability will start controlling them instead.
