Just finished up drawing Metallix last night. I'm a slow drawer Ya'll!
It took longer to draw than I expected.. D: AHH, drawing robots is difficult for me.. 
I'm still working on his profile as you can see. 
All I had to use as a reference, was the new Metallix sprite edited up. I may make a few changes here, and there but basically, this is how he will look like in my flash. lolhisbodyislikemegamansomgPutting this in my scraps.

This is the best mecha sonic design I've ever had the honor to look upon. I mean Dr. Eggman would be jealous of this mecha sonic work. So the sprites are made by Dave "Entrail" Burns. I can see why Alvin pick this for his SMBZ series. I've seen this mecha sonic in the 5th ep of Alvin's SMBZ series. Very good job with the image. I have to admit the spines do look better in this image compared to the concept sprites. I'll be sure to update them before I actually use him in SMBZ.

Oh, thanks man! I used your edited sprite as a reference to draw from. Had to make up some things on my own, since you can't see certain details in a sprite. xD This is just basically how I imaged he would look like in drawn form. Oh, so you plan on changing his spines on the your sprite?. Can't wait to see how he turns out in the end.

I'm still going to give you credit where it's due. A lot of people have used your sprites so I had to make some tweaks to the design just to make it a little more unique.

As for a lot of people using them. Yeah, I noticed that too....
That's why I have made 'The Mark 3' Sprites a few years back. And even then, only a few of them.
