Saga Character Design Study: Elf

Aelfar. Svarthaelfar. Woadaelfar. Hrungiraelfar. Solaelfar. Lunisaelfar. Sceulisaelfar. The different ethncities of the Earthbound descendants of the Sidh, who make up a majority of the Nobility, of both the Seelie and Unseelie Courts and Dynasties of the Tuatha de Dannan; the Elves. This Character Study, Part One of Four; was to show, that outside of particular Immanent Abilities, Cultural Traits and Customs, and Skin Tones, there really isn't much that separates the ethnicities of Elves from one another.

The common traits that all Elves, Share, are the following:

Superstrength: Yes, Elves are super-strong. You couldn't tell this from looking at them, but like All Earthbound Celestial Descendants; possess compact muscularity, stronger joints, stronger skeletal structure and stronger skeleto-muscularity than Humans.

Elves, with the exception of Exemplars; are way much more stronger than Humans. The Average Elf, can handle up to 50 times the human maximum. They tend to devote this superstrength, towards feats of athelticism, such as high jumps and leaps; metalworking(this strength allows for them to forge masterwork quality blades, arrows, and weapons), and combat(This is common application, among The Rangers and Cataphracts; who use this to great effect.

*A note of warning: if you travel near an open area in a forest, or in a city, and you hear the sounds of Elven War Chants; duck, cuz someone is gonna be flying through the air, with a crushed sternum and ruptured organs, and it's not gonna be one of the Elves.

Super-reflexes and agility: The Muscular and Nerve Contractions and Nerve Relay Time; which is responsible for Reaction Time, Reflex Speed, and the Rate of Movement, within an organic being; is 50 times faster in the Average Elf, than it is with Humans, meaning that Elves are able to move, react, and anticipate faster than Humans. It's not uncommon to see an Elf, dodge light support machinegun fire, and decimate up to 8 supernatural opponents in a matter of 5 seconds. Also, because of the wider ranger of movement, from their muscles and joints,
Elves move much more gracefully and much more fluid than Humans.

Super-staminaecause Elves, like all Celestials and their offspring; do not build up lactic acids at the same rate as Humans do; They possess incredible stamina. In fact, it takes up to 48 hours of continous activity, to build up to the equivalent of 2 hours of continous activity, as it would in Humans. After such ardurous activity, Elves will rest up to 48 hours, in order to recover. And yes, Elves do sleep; they can cut the recovery time with meditation, but rarely does the situation merit the use of said technique.

Also, because of their Celestial Anatomy, Elven Hearts possess ten valves, and the necessary plumbing for those valves, along with the necessary amount of blood and fluids. Their blood and body retains and processes oxygen more efficiently and effectively than with Humans, allowing for them to go for longer periods without the need to breathe, than it would be with Humans.

The record for non-Exemplar Elves is up to 2 hours, before needing to inhale and process oxygen and exhale carbon dioxide. This also has to do, with the membranes in Celestial Lungs, that store and separate carbon dioxide, before it is need to be expelled through the lungs, nose and mouth. During this time, they can slowly defuse that carbon dioxide through their skin, as long as it's not being restricted by thick clothes(which is very uncommon for Elves)

Super-resilience: Elves, despite common misconceptions; are pretty stout and hardy. While not as stout and hardy as the Nibelung(Dwarves), Elves are pretty impressive in how much damage they can handle. What would drop Humans like Flies, Elves are capable of shrugging off. Unless it causes what we would consider to be absurd damage, Elves will pretty much walk it off, like it was a small nick on their chest. They are far from invincible, and they can die. For comparison's sake, they can handle up to 20 times what Humans are even capable of handling. This also allows for them to withstand high-altitude falls, up to 200 stories. Also, their Bodies process Heat and Cold Temperatures differently than most Celestials, and they can withstand up to 500 degrees farenheit and minus-130 degrees farenheit, before needing to compensate with temperature controlled and shielded clothes.

Recovery and Regeneration:Elves, will recover and regenerate from their Injuries, that are less than Fatal; within a matter of minutes to hours; depending on the severity of the Injuries in Question. Severed Limbs, Damaged or Destroyed Organs, Missing Organs such as Eyes and such, and Third Degree Burns; will take up to 3 or more days. Of course, because of this level of recovery and regeneration, Elves possess high metabolisms, that require immense amount of fuel, in order to perform this function efficiently.

Longevity: Elves live, for what we would consider, to be an absurd amount of time, by our measurements of time, but not quite so,in their methods of measurement. Celestial Lifespans, are measured in Galatic Years, which is equal to a 1000 Human Years. Elves, will live up to 2,500 Galatic Years, which is equal to 250,000 Human Years!!!! Elves, do not reach physical and mental maturity, till at least 3,000 Human Years(3 Galatic Years), which is spent with their parents. Since Time is measured and perceived differently with Celestials, 3,000 Human Years, is equal to 18 Years for them. Also, since teleomeres are used up whenever they heal and regenerate, Elves, like all Celestials and their brethern; regenerate their lost teleomeres. Their Bodies will continue to do this, till they reach their life expectancy, or until they die in combat or from Injuries.

Heightened Senses: Elves in general, are capable of perceiving things in multiple visual and aural(sound) frequencies, and are capable of hearing and seeing up to 20 miles away; they can smell and taste poisons and toxins, including "odorless" poisons and gases(because of their unique properties, odorless gases leave a trace "scent" on the other gases and substances they interact with, which Elves and other Celestials can pick up). They can feel presences, and are able to notice subtlites in the environment, through touch and the other senses. Because of their level of perceptions, Elves are able to consciously and subconsciously filter out unwanted interference, and reflexively reduce the range and output of their senses, in order to prevent sensory overload.

Super Metabolism: Elves, because of their Celestial Heritage, are immune to all Tellurian poisons, toxins, and diseases, and can handle up to 40% of Celestial poisons, toxins, and diseases. They can consume what we would consider to be inedible, if they don't mind the smell and taste, and cannot be affected by digestion illnesses caused by Tellurian poisons, toxins, and diseases. Also, their Metabolism is tied into their Regenerative and Recuperative Capabilities and their Longevity, since they depend on what their bodies can break down for fuel. Like all Celestials and Celestial Descendants, their bodies production what we would call "Super ATP", which carries ten times the amount of energy found in our own ATP.
