This was the Brother In Arms March I managed for several years with the Dead Man's Corner Museum in Normandy (where i'm from).

My group and some other friends groups where all along the march to do displays (crashed jeep, HQ in farm, Cal .30 nest, dead bodies US/GER, canopies and container on fields, prisoners Fallschirmjager) :

As it was an event, more than 300 persons from all over Europe were there.
My group and friends counted around 30/40 guys. This community was top of groups in France, serious and no cowboy aboard. It is now a bit exploded because of one guy to much in love of himself.
For now, my group still continue doing reenactment, but a bit more on his own, avoiding trouble like that

Iยดm not so in reanactment since I stop my 15 years of templar knight display(btw, we do every two years a big event against normans in the city of Eu/normandy in the past).
But to many discussions and anger in that hobby let me go 40000 years forward and doin something what nobody else is doing

"For now, my group still continue doing reenactment, but a bit more on his own, avoiding trouble like that"

The most good groups going that way I think...
Regards

Yep, as you said, too much jealousy and anger... what a shame, goal is to respect veterans and do living history to never forget, not crush each other to "be the best".
Anyway... :/

Its a honourfull trying, and you and your comrades doin a good a very good job in this...

Believe it or not, was the same reason to display templar knight, to show them as warriors and members of the world best trained military in their time and monks and not as treasure searching wild fucking members of hollywood.
