Camera is a Panasonic HVX202 [link] High Definition.
Records (standard def) to normal DV tapes and (HD) to P2 cards. which is a solid state card of 16gb = 16minutes of HD footage.
and yup. widescreen

P2 sounds really interesting. And since it's 1gb/minute it doesn't compress anything? Seems like a nice camera. At school I'm using a Panasonic DVX100B.

P2 is a great format... when they release the 32, 64 and 128GB cards. although a 16GB card is $1500nz hate to see the cost of the others.
The let down is that you need a laptop in the field to download the footage to, then reformat and then start shooting again. you look like a pro, but sometimes it really slows you down, (50% shoot time 50% download time) Compression wise, its nect to nothing yeah, panasonic does a SMALL amount in converting to its own P2 format thing, but essentially its raw files.
100B is a good camera for DV, a shame it doesnt shoot 16:9 unlike my one though, cause even SD on a DV tape looks so much better widescreen.

The camera I will be purchasing IF i get funding will be this [link]
Either the Z1p or the V1p, good decently priced HDV cameras. in my budget

No, I've done some professional work with the 100B's and I won't upload it to DeviantART or any other internet site, as it looks right now.

Fair enough. Ive always felt the only time I would upload any work ive done
would be to DA, It loses probably 95% of its sexiness because its HD converted to something for web.
But I figure may aswell share my work cause i can in a place that deserves it.
unlike Youtube and the like, hahaha. filthy Youtube.

Yes, of course. I would love to upload the footage, but as I said it has been made professional, to be more specific: I've made one "Makin of" movie for a TV channel and one short film for them.
