Personality:
Fascinator is a nervous and anxious person, he’s scared of most things and is proud to be a coward. He’ll easily give up his pride and dignity with his tail between his legs at signs of any level of discomfort. Pinch him, and he’ll tell you the darkest most well-kept secret of his soul to get you to stop. Wimpy, effeminate, and childish, he isn’t exactly a charmer. But he means well, he always wants the best for everyone, believes that everyone who treats others with respect should be respected, and stands up for what he thinks is wrong by shouting how no one else thinks it’s wrong. He’s a bit over dramatic, getting enraged at very small things. He’s a hopeless romantic and easily gets enamored with endless characters. But he’s too nervous and scared to ever really get pass it. As well as stupid. Fascinator has an addictive personality, he’s very use to habit and refuses to change in any circumstance even if it’s good for him. He’s a very closeted gay man due to years of being accustomed to repressing his sexuality, and while he understands it isn’t healthy, he’s just very used to rejecting himself. He forced himself into the closet so hard that he made a home and now he refuses to leave. This gave him a really guilty conscious, he tends to cry when he’s happy and seems to be over grateful just for someone else spending time with him. In his heart, Fascinator is a very positive person despite accepting that his life is meaningless and the absurdity of life.
Bio:
Fascinator’s life lives up to his name, full of mysteries and little rumors. When he was born, his mother had been indoctrinated into a cult of a Christian sect. His mother had been emotionally vulnerable, her life at the time being very unstable and leaving Fascinator’s father after a fight. He never was told much about his father, by the time he was developed enough to comprehend his surroundings his mother was deep in the cult from both wanting to to belong and fear. But he always knew that his father was a demon, because of the discoloration of his left eye. It was red instead of the faded green of his right eye. Despite it just being a birth defect, a very minor one at that, Fascinator was always teased and prodded about his odd eye. His very religious surroundings made a plethora of rumors about it, leaving Fascinator to hide it behind his hair. But he had many times when he was young where other kids would tug at his hair to see it, and in one scuffle, the kid actually ripped off parts of his hair. This developed a sensitivity about his left eye that even to this day he feels uncomfortable when people touch the left side of his face. Even so, his need for affection and to have friends eclipsed the boundary problems.
Him and his mother moved several times in different communities across the country before finally moving into the religious compound with other families. The cult at the time instilled a deep fear in both of them from the outside world, that everyone outside the cult were heathens and wanted to hurt them. This kept them in line, quiet as they suffered from the strict teachings. Eventually his mother was practically forced to marry one of the men in the cult, while charming on the outside they both soon understood the intense fear and unstable presence he had. Fascinator was struck and repeatedly emotionally manipulated and degraded in his childhood, but both him and his mother refused to speak out due to the paranoid fear of being cast out or even worse. As a child, Fascinator experienced anxiety problems especially with his breathing, and was told over and over that he let wickedness in his soul. This didn’t help. His mother was impregnated and gave birth to his younger sister, Hair Bow or Bow for short, whom he loved and took care of, despite his father scolding him to leave that as “women’s work”.
The boy went through private religious school his whole life, and knew the same kids since kindergarten. Stuck in a conservative old town, Fascinator began to repress his emotions in order to conform with the other boys. An event that cemented this was when a priest found him kissing another boy because of a dare, and he was sent to conversion therapy. Aka he went to a pray away the gay camp at his baptist church at the summer and kept away from his family. Subconsciously he connected his sexuality, and sex in general with immorality, and has struggled undoing this damage since. Not only that, but when he came home, his father wasn’t understanding and treated him almost as subhuman. By the time he was 13, he started drinking. And this developed into alcoholism, where he would go out drinking every single night and blackout. The amount of alcohol in his system still leaves him shocked that his kidneys still work. He snuck so much alcohol and crept into bars so much that his brain went to sleep but his body went on. Often, he would steal it from his father. His mother in her heart knew but pretended it was okay to focus on taking care of her baby daughter.
When Fascinator was told in church that he and his toddler sister would be taken away from his family home, he grabbed his baby sister and planned to run for it. His mother stopped him but when he told her why, she packed her bags and joined them, running to the nearest road and hitch hiking to the nearest town. They both knew that by leaving, they would be entering the gates of hell, but to them, if that cult was heaven then they’d rather burn. When his mother managed to contact her parents, they both were anxious and afraid but liberated as they started their new lives. Fascinator and his sister were the apple of his grandparents’ eyes, and slowly he accumulated to the outside world. He never went back to school, instead immediately going into the workforce to support his mother and sister. Even his reliance on alcohol began to lessen as he focused on becoming the father figure Bow deserved. It was only a few months before Fascinator and his mother came home from a hard day of work and found their home turned into a crime scene. Both of his grandparents were murdered and his young sister was gone and both knew that his father and the cult had come back.
The nightmare haunted him all the time, drifting away from his mother as he delved into grief as the search for his little sister went cold. He numbed the pain with alcohol and smoking, panic attacks was a struggle everyday. When his birth father, Livery Collar, contacted his mother again, worried for years over her, he had finally met his son and learned of the terrible tragedy they suffered. His birth father offered them safety and stability with him, but Fascinator couldn’t trust anyone anymore. When his mother accepted both therapy, counseling and support - he packed his bags and left. He floated from city to city, before eventually settling down near the West Coast. Partying all night and working hungover, Fascinator caught a small break when the band he was apart of took off. That landed him in Daten City, where he was reaching fame very slowly. His band was actually quite the hit in Korea, where he lived after Hell's Gate and lasted for maybe 10 years.
When Hell’s Gate occurred, Fascinator was in his apartment hungover where as he described when he saw the ultimate ghost, the event causing him such great disturbance that he gave up drinking. He blamed drinking for causing the hallucination and has ever since convinced himself that it was a hallucination caused by alcoholism. A long winding journey and he manages to keep his drinking low, only for nice occasions. He recovered from his childhood with intense amounts of therapy and his breathing problems haven’t been much of an issue after years of meditation. He reconciled with his mother, and then his father before meeting the rest of his long extended family. Many of them actually welcomed him with open arms as a part of the family due to the many different people that were there. Despite the cold shoulder Fascinator showed, Livery Collar loved and saw tremendous potential in him. So much so, that Livery Collar named Fascinator his sole heir of his winery and all of his land in France. An inheritance he could claim any time. Despite that, Fascinator insists on his current life until he dies and becomes a demon, wanting to live his own life before he takes of his family’s business. Moving to Oten, he’s living subpar but has all his necessities met. He recently returned to work after living in retirement. To this day, he never seen Bow again, and accepted that she is most likely dead.

He’s the youngest half brother of a long line of demon brothers.
Fascinator is planning on completing college eventually
He makes wine and vinegar in his spare time and his home has a small vineyard where he tends and nurtures a strand of grapes from his and his father’s winery in France. He’s still perfecting the formula but the wine is very strong, with spicy overtones and being very hearty and a little sweet. Pairs well with roasted meat and stews.
