Description
SX-70 & Artistic TZPelicans at The Pier in downtown St. Petersburg, Florida.
Left the setting on darken all the way, once again. Hence, why it appears so much darker than it normally should be. I was initially reluctant to upload this to DA but eventually, after some thought, gave in and decided to upload it anyway.

Thank you! I do like to use it, yes. I would, of course, prefer true Time Zero or 779 (expired or fresh, I just love that film for some reason) but I am liking the Artistic TZ quite a bit. I need to get some more seeing as I just shot my last pack last night (those pictures will appear on DA in the next week or so). But thank you! I guess I'm developing a style or a film preference at the very least?

yeah i guess one little by little starts developing ones own style, or in the words id like to put it, ones own atmosphere. I love nostalgic, sad and erotic art. I hate pornography though I like more the subtleties of portraits and although I have taken some potraits and a couple of human figure pictures my friends who acted as models dont want them posted on the internet so its like Either way the blue polas and the overexposed ones (and I dont know why polaroid has my prefered retro colors) are my faovurite traits. Oh BTW you have no idea what I saw yesterday! In perfect state! a Hasselblad with polaroid back! Im gonna ask the clerk to let me shoot a pack with that 3 thousand dollar jewel!

I like atmosphere better than style, as style seems so much more definitive but atmosphere still allows room for exploration and play. I like portraits too and the subtleties that one can find in them, but I personally don't think I'm all that good at shooting portraits (the human element, as I like to call it - I just don't think I'm good at interacting and getting what I want to capture on film out of a human subject) which is why there are none if any in my gallery. Its too bad your friends don't want them on the internet - even on a place like deviantart because I'd love to see those portraits. I bet they're amazing.
Haha Polaroid knows you best! OMG! You have to shoot a pack with it! You have to! I'd would love to have even a chance to hold a Hasselblad with a Polaroid back let alone shoot it!

only one? unbelievable!
at least you finally took pictures of seagulls, now just work on getting pictures of pelicans!
a lot of them were just chillin'! they're pretty lazy birds if you ask me. of course, why move when they're in a prime location to be fed by tourists... (the bait shop actually sells fish to feed to the pelicans if i remember correctly.)

A friend of mine once sang a silly song for me, but I can only remember this much of it ...
The most beautiful bird is the pelican.
It's beak can hold more than it's belly can.
... wish I knew the whole song.
Nice photograph!

Haha! Too bad you don't know the whole song, I'd love to hear it but I definitely agree that their beaks can hold more than their belly can. Of course than I start thinking of the Disney movie "Finding Nemo" and the crazy Pelican in it.
But thank you!

A wonderful bird is the Pelican.
His beak can hold more than his belly can.
He can hold in his beak Enough food for a week!
But I'll be darned if I try to know how the hell he can?
is that correct? i found tons of variations when i googled it, because my friend used to just sing the first part ("the pelican and the belly can")

Excellent! I'll have to do some research of my own on this.
Yes, the first two lines really are outstanding ... rhyming "pelican" with "belly can" is pure genius!

it's almost as genius as somehow making "paranoia" rhyme with "destroyer" ---> (richard ashcroft video [link] )
