Inks over my pencils for this Narrative homework assignment. Not very happy with the inks, honestly. I didn't get the energy in them that I feel I had in the pencils.Related content

wow this is aa fantastic piece!! the energy is amazing, only thing i would say is i would have liked a little more expression in meras face, she looks a bit like she is kinda giving up, not strong and determined! love the shadowing on her body, the energy effects, everything just wow!!

This piece turned out great Craig as Nick said if you were drawing a Mera comic I'd pick it up too. Especially one with this cover.

I think the energy you speak of lies in Mera's face. I feel like pencils for anything are always more energetic simply by nature of them being pencils. There's a rawness to them.
I think if you changed Mera's face around on this, it would work out well. If you feel like going back in there, or merely for the sake of constructive criticism, I would say she simply needs more of a snarl. She kind of looks like she's sleeping here. Maybe have her right eye (her right) open a little. Some clouds of sea floor debris and what-not whipping up around her feet would also help, I think.

Thanks! I'm hoping she does get a new book once Blackest Night wraps up, unless they kill her too. I only hope they get a good writer/artist team to do it.
