Colors for the background/production design assignment for my Layout and design class. I've only started to really branch out and learn computer coloring, and while it's not the best, I feel I'm improving.For one of our pieces, we were to color it in 3 different ways and also focus on the 3 different characters within. This one used an analogous color scheme and had more of a focus on Mera in it.

Thanks! The rule of thirds was definitely in play, we were encouraged to use it before the project began. I never gave it a lot of thought before but I found I'd naturally do it with pieces already.

this is agreat piece for a beginner. i really see how you have main focus on mera and then panning off to see aquaman and then the character in the back behind the curtain. i reconize him, but i just forgot his name. is this a finished piece? i feel that the background could have used some more color. cooler tones for those distant images. the back just looks to flat to me. but still an awesome image. great job!

Thanks! Yeah, this is as finished as I got with it. I kept the background as simple as I could to avoid over-doing it, but some slight variation in color wouldn't have hurt. That guy in the back is Vulko, Mera's father (if I'm not mistaken). He's fun to draw!
