So here's a different version of the finished poster for my daughter 's boyfriend's Christmas present (he's not on DA so anyone who knows him...this is a surprise! Don't show him!! ) I did this one because we are going to start displaying Blick employee's artwork at our warehouses here in Galesburg. One of the guidelines is, of course, no violence or blood. Since the original [link] had a Locust with a hole in his head and a bloody hand...I decided to copy the characters and draw two seperate backgrounds. Clever, ain't I?

It features the three characters they usually play. Ryan's favorite is Baird, Rebellion loves Dom, and their friend Cory loves playing Cole. Yes, it was suggested by Rebellion to have Cole in the middle of one of his "Wooo, Cole Train!!" moments. LOL It was a lot of fun drawing the armor and the weapons were fun too! Unfortunately I wanted to draw at my desk so I just used the tiny images in the Gears of War 2 instruction manual for the weapons. It was kind of crazy, but a fun little (no pun intended) challenge. Hope they turned out okay...though I am mighty proud of that Lancer! I'm more of a casual gamer myself, but I know the stories and I love these characters too. Personally, I would have had Marcus in here too.
