You don't know THAT much about halo because then you would know the master chief you take control of has his ACTUAL abilities limited for gameplay purposes, If you know THAT much about halo then you would know what he is really capable of, like in the fall of reach when he fought a longsword fighter, or in halo legends' "The Package", or in the cutscene from halo wars when 3 spartans take on a shitload of elites.

That, isn't even Halo fan exclusive knowledge. I didn't even mention anything about gameplay. I know exactly how capable a fighter he is. Spartan-IIs> everything else in Halo. It's funny you tried to make a point with something that I not only took into account, but tried to tell me I didn't know about that basic piece of information. I actually guessed that before I knew anything about Halo. Nice try buddy, but sorry you're not going to find an unintelligent troll in me. I don't want a flame war, therefore I'm not trying to start one. You were the first person to curse in this conversation, which is ironic since that's how flame wars start, and you keep talking about how you're not going to let me start one.
BTW, Chief is STILL not a very powerful character, despite what you said. Things that challenge Chief, such as a group of Elites, would be a light snack for Ridley. And cannon fodder to Samus. I could explain why, but I'd like to have your consent first, so that I know I'm not starting a "flame war".

Okay, you've got my attention, and I see you don't want to go on blind rage here, but we aren't going anywhere, I've seen it before, I've lived it before in other forums, even if you are not trying at all to be offensive (which you were in the first post by the way, but you probably didn't intended to) we are not going anywhere. You try to sound so halo-smart by saying that is obvious when in fact it is not, okay fine, but really lets assume you know as much if not more about halo and metroid that I do, if that's true and you still think that a group of elites isn't nearly as challenging as a group of space pirates (for example) and I think otherwise, there is no way I'll convince you otherwise or you convince me.
One could say that master chief's power in "The Package" is exaggerated and his real power is the one in halo gameplay, and then I could say its the other way around. That's what fiction is about, you want to think that ridley can eat a platoon of spartans any day of the week, well its your respectably crazy point of view. You wont change mine, I wont change your either and since this is fiction, you will believe whatever you want to believe.
So I want MY master chief to be able to survive an assault of samus aran, and when enhanced be his equal, IT WILL BE BECAUSE IT IS MY STORY AND BECAUSE I AM NOT A NAIVE STUPID FAN. I know enough, you don't like it? Well go create tour own story with you own facts and stop telling people they are wrong, this isn't gravity you know? nothing is set on stone but I am definitely not exaggerating master chief when I say he can hold his own (for a few minutes) against samus, but if in your point of view he can't.. well the franchises will never clash, the ACTUAL facts about the metroid universe are not as clear as in Halo, so there is no way in hell you can prove me wrong o vice-versa

No he doesn't, I think Dr. Halsey was supposed to upgrade the Mjolni using spare parts from a PED suit and forerunner tech. Sadly, I never got that far with the story, he was supposed to go rescue samus when he found out she was set up, of course samus does not need help, but there was no way out of the planet so they fought together to scape a self destructing artificial world.... It's been too long since I thought about that but I think it was something like that

Also, your writing a story using Chief in this armor? It's a Metroid Halo crossover, yes? Can you direct me to it? I love reading those. If not, that's a shame, because you have proven to me that you are definitely capable of coherent writing, unlike other Halo fanboys whom I've dealt with (and actually made submit, BTW).
Also, I still haven't discredited Chief's ability to do stuff at all. Do you realize I've been reffering to the way Chief fights outside of the games this whole time? If I used in game Chief, it simply wouldn't be fair, since his greates solitary achievement is flipping a Tank, something that Samus would be able to do naked. And his greates overall in game achievement is fighting two Scarabs AT THE SAME TIME. AND IT WAS AWESOME. Excuse me, I had a fanboy moment just now. Ahem where was I? Oh, right, look I have nothing against Halo, it's various media or it's protagonist, however, I simply can't say with any semblence of honesty that I believe that the power levels are on par with each other. Would I write them that way in a story? I currently am. I certainly hope I get to see the way you do too, but if someone asked me which is more powerful I would say Metroid, without a doubt. If you want factual evidence I can present it to you. I can make side by side comparisons. I can give you numbers and info provided by Metroid's developers. I can explain why Samus can flip a Scorpion with no clothes on but I will not do so if you don't want me to, and I certainly will not soundlike a raging fanboy when doing so. Your call.
As for my stance on Halo games vs. Metroid games: I like good games. Leave it at that.

Oh no, Metroid enemies and heroes beat the shit out of the ones in Halo on brutal strength but it would take them time, they can hold their own at least, that being only BRUTAL STRENGHT, convine it with intelligence, maybe some upgrades... and that's another story. I wrote one, it's sadly unfinished and I wrote it like 3 years ago, it starts here: [link] It is on an old account that got banned for trolling a fellow deviant... and then we spoke and we now are at peace....
If you want to see the rest just look for halo dread on the deviantart search engine. I was 15 back then so don't expect marvelous and cutting edge writing skills, but my knowledge of halo was very good back then, so it isn't necesarilly OCC... but the plot isn't as imaginative as I would have liked it to be, that's why it was abandoned..
I gave up hope to find a Halo/Metroid story so good it's sheer awesomeness would threaten the space-time continuum, there are some good stories, just not a single one that makes justice to both franchises. Then I started to write Halo Dread and, well... I couldn't do a story that good. If you know of a very good Halo/Metroid story please share.

Well I know for sure there is at least one. I unfortunately can't provide a link, but if you go to the Halo/Metroid crossover section at fanfiction.net and look for "Transcendence", you'll be pleased at what you find. Simply epic storytelling.
Annnnd in a bit of shameless plugging, I'm currently writing a story titled "Halo Prime". It's in the "Rated M" section. Really all I strive to do with that story is provide a good read, and judging from my mostly positive reviews, I've done just that. But then again, I don't know.
