Finally, it's done. @_@ I blame a serious lack of computer time for this! *shakes fist at mom*Enigmatic Star is my (what I hope will be, should say) comic series. It was a fanfic, but no one wanted to read it. It was a little...too texty. XD You'd think she'd learn her lesson by now! Honestly! Regardless, I've had this sitting around for a while, but I never got around to coloring it. Sooooo much later, it is done!
...the reason why I have that little critique box is because I'm interested in hearing about how I did on faux watercoloring this piece. I know that you're supposed to work from whites to lights down to brights to shadows, but I'm just curious on your opinion. Even though done digitally, does it feel almost like a traditional water color? If not, then how could I fix it?
I really like some of the color choices going on here, EX background and stars. They really have this great contrast with one another, given they're compliments. Then there are some parts I don't care for, such as how Flare came out in general. She seems a bit bright in color for the picture. I dunno. Maybe that's me. I also changed Asa's hair color (originally it was more blonde. I made it this wonderful strawberry color.) What else...I still love that text I made just for this. <3333
Some of you are probably saying, 'hay wiat, dose Pogeymanz colorz be messed up lol'. I believe in coloration by nickname (a Pokemon Stadium mechanic). To have EVERY Pokemon the same color sounds DUMB. I imagine there are slight variations of color and coat patterns, if we wanna look at it realistically. (Sort of like cats and their different coat colors.)
Yep. I may have forgotten something, but I'm too hungry. *goes to ravage around for breakfast*
Asa, Flare, Breeze character designs, Enigmatic Star text, and art (c) to me.
Pokemon belongs to Nintendo.

It looks truly amazing, and has lost the "Magical Girl" feel the b&w version had, and now looks more mysterious as you intended. Very nice.

Nothin' like a spot of opacity to do it right, I figured. ;D Thanks for your comment. :3

Holy crap this turned out beautifully. The background is so gorgeous. I love how Asa's human form is kinda faded into the background, and the Pokemon are the more highlighted part of the piece. Breeze and Flare's coloring made me jizz in my pants a little, too. Just kidding, I swear to god you didn't just read that. Pretend it didn't happen.

Not that I'm noticing right now, else I would have noted it in the first comment.
