Flikts are said to be some of the fastest creatures in Symphoria, if not THE fastest. Depending on their surroundings or how they were raised, they max out at 10 additional power stars, with no more than 3 power stars in each additional area.
Types of Flikts and Their Abilities:
All: Able to confuse/daze enemies with its habitual metronome sound. Specializes in evasion/illusion magic.
Suburb Flikt: Typically a multi-elemented creature. May know how to cast simple elemental skills, such as conjuring fire or water from a nearby source.
Polka Flikt: Typically a nature-elemented creature. May know how to cast simple elemental skills, such as conjuring fire or water from a nearby source.
De Lune Flikt: Typically a water-or-ice-elemented creature. Specializes in swimming, its wings evolved into fins and its upper fur fluffs have given way for gillfins.
Tempo Flikt: Typically a fire-or-light-elemented creature. Specializes in healing magic and caring for others, although it does have a fierce temperment. It has a shorter coat than most flikts.
Harmonia Flikt: The most skiddish, yet loving, of the flikts. Typically a light-or-wind-elemented creature. Specializes in destroying negative feelings of a person and turning them into food for itself. Knows little to no magic, but can fly for longer periods of time whereas other creatures can't.
Zen Flikt: Typically a multi-elemented creature. May know how to cast simple elemental skills, such as conjuring fire or water from a nearby source.
Sakurin Flikt: A rare and magically powerful flikt. Typically nature-or-lightning-elemented creature. Have only 'natural' coats, such as brown or gray-green. Can cast more magic than other flikts, but may have to borrow mana from its owner to sustain itself.
Mirlitons Flikt: The rarest flikts, typically an ice-or-dark-elemented creature. Have thick coats and will not hesitate to lure travellers to their doom. They are fiercely protective.

Pet Advantages
Suburb Flikt: The most intelligent of flikts. They are able to understand all languages thanks to where they grew up, and thusly can perform small tasks for their owners. They're the least skiddish towards foreigners, so they're great as family pets.
Polka Flikt: Have an extreme sense of knowledge when it comes to living off the land. They can often sniff out edible fruits and flora, and their magic can really make flowers blossom. Their manure is considered highly prized among florists for giving birth to incredible flora that may well die otherwise. Just do not bring them to cold areas, as they will not be able to survive. Give water frequently.
De Lune Flikt: These flikts, unlike some others, LOVE water. Nearly amphibious in nature, these beings will enjoy anyone living near the sea air. Although they require more water than any other flikt- up to a gallon and a half a day-, these pets are extremely hardy to the elements. They can also create air bubbles for their masters if an underwater expedition is necessary.
Tempo Flikt: A one-person pet, this creature will do everything in its power for its master. More like a dog than a cat, it will obey its master's commands without hesitance. It will also try and keep its master from dying by sacrificing itself to be a magical cure-all. For this reason, they do have very short lifespans if kept by a master that likes to get into trouble.
Harmonia Flikt: These creatures are completely self-sustained off of a person's feelings. Like a plant, they will convert negative feelings of wrath, lust and others into pure positive energy that it shares with its owner. However, it can only survive on a person riddled with these feelings and will typically avoid those that are content with life. Due to their skiddish nature, however, they are EXTREMELY hard to find and capture as they become overwhelmed with the urge for freedom if approached.
Zen Flikt: The most common flikt. They're a bit finicky, feeding on mainly a diet consisting of fish and berries, occassionally other small rodents and people food. They are useful as pest-controls in houses and public places. They may be curious and mischievous for those looking for a calm life. Great for musicians, as they love to keep time by tilting their head side to side for hours on end (which creates a metronome sound from within its crown).
Sakurin Flikt: These flikts are a mage's best friend. Though they need mana to survive, they can nearly act as a second mage in battle. They tire quickly and prefer to stay perched on a person with mana's shoulders or their lap rather than physically fighting. They tend to have low defense and attack, so be wary of high-magical defense creatures. Depending on which way the owner trains the flikt, they can go towards defensive/healing magic, attack magic or status magic.
Mirlitons Flikt: The most loyal of the flikts, theses are also the longest living. With high defenses, they can often take a critical blow for their master and survive. They cannot live in warm areas. They sustain on meals of fish or meat only. Unless trained well, they will attack any thing or any one that comes within a certain distance of their master, friend or foe.
Hunter Advantages
A flikt's fur coat is often prized to most hunters, hence why the creatures are so rare. A Mirlitons Flikt coat will take up to 20 Flikts to make, but insolates EXTREMELY well against the cold. Other fur coats also have their own advantages- De Lune robes will enable the wearer to swim twice the distance and hold their breath twice as long, Tempo clothes give great resistance to the heat, Zen items will enable for better concentration when keeping time, and Sakurin cloaks boost a white or black mage's power by up to 15% (depending on how the flikt was raised). Because of the way they were hunted for their prized furs, laws have been put in place to limit a hunter to killing one of these beasts per week for their skin. For that reason, flikt-based clothing is VERY expensive.
However, their skin is not the only reason flikts are hunted. As they are considered VERY cute, there is a high demand to catch and tame these creatures alive. There are some breeders that have practically breeded all the wild elements out of the creatures to make them more stable and desirable, but their overall power (especially speed) goes down, making wild flikts still desired over their tame counterparts.
Their headflutes from which they whistle like a bird also make for the most precious of pan flutes. Their crowns are magical metronomes, which make them great for any musician out there.
As for their tail orbs, this is where most of the flikt's unused magical ability is stored and crystallized. These gems are extremely rare and powerful, and make for great artifact additions in staves and wands, as they have high natural affinity for magic and can channel it better.
In terms of colors, each flikt tail orb adds a certain element to a staff.

Other Info
-They meow and purr like a cat, but they can also whistle, sing and chirp like a bird.
-They love keeping time by tilting their head from side to side. The record for one of these metronome sessions is seven straight hours. They will adjust to any general tempo below 120.
-Often very clingy animals. If you get one, be prepared not to ever leave its side ever. They're very dependent on their owners.
-Most dislike thunderstorms, rain and snow.
-Love shiny things, and will often try and make off with them. For this reason, they love trying to play with their tail.
-All can fly relatively short distances.

ANJU NEEDED A PET
BREAKER WILL GET HER ONE
THIS WAS THE BIRTH OF THE FLIKT.
Actually I created the flikt a long while back but it looks like nothing like this. Lol man this totally looks like an Eevee ripoff. Damn Pokemon.
Also, the flikt has many colorations! I was too damn lazy and ended up just abusing the hue slider and the like for the colors. They can come in spots, stripes, calico, splotches...mainly kitty-cat stuff! Don't think they're ALL solid! Go nuts man!
I feel moderately proud of myself. NOW. TO DO THE SIREN SISTERS. AND THE DRAGONS. AND MY TASK. AND OTHER ART. orz SO MUCH TO DO NOT ENOUGH TIME.
