...You know, I'm preeeeetty sure with all of the artwork I do being more on the fantasy side and calm poses of twirly hair and magic, people think of me more as a straight shoujo lover.

That's the biggest bullshit ever in the history of bullshit.

Yu Yu Hakusho, one of my first true animes. (My other is Rurouni Kenshin.) And what do the two have in common? Blood, fighting, and women that know how to fight back instead of being 100% worthless. And I like that! Also, the main characters can debatedly be called delinquent in some form or another. Moreso with Mr. Yusuke, but that's beside the point.

Point being, there is often times a savage part of this girl that loves (and winces in sheer love) of a brutal beatdown lead by Team Urameshii. Oh, but you can't forget the part that they get beat up throughout, either! That makes the fight that much more interesting...especially when the characters sometimes lose. I think it's a good thing to have one of the main characters lose at some point. Crucial, in fact.

Regardless, I just gotta say: I love Yu Yu Hakusho for all its gut-busting, name-calling, dork-making, badassity in entirety. <3

And so, to that, I allowed my normally leashed 'shonen' side out to attack this piece. And I love every moment of how free and chaotic I felt with this. Oooooh yeah. Gunna bring a few of these to the con.
