Damn that's a nice photo...
Worth freezing for a bit to find you've captured something like this I'd imagine
Love the way the ridge lines carry my eye down to those crazy rock spires at the bottom, then you look across to the other spires, head back up the mountain, rinse, repeat...
Could (and just did) stare at this for ages

And yes that is a really steep decent!
Bryce Canyon is a very different place in the world, you can see why the native americans were scared of this place

Awesome!! I've seen quite a few photographs of this place before although not quite at this perspective (most times it was an overview of the whole area, or some of it) This one is much better. I love the contrasts between the snow and the rock. The colour of the rock is fabulous too.
It's strange... the rocks at the bottom appear rough and textured, yet the rocks on the left and top appear smoother?
Amazing place!

Great shot, Mark.

Looks like the cold was worth it. I'll have to find out for myself, since it was 90+ the day that I saw it. The snow really punches up the texture of the place, which I thought really didn't need any help.

It's rare that one sees an amazing photo when it is first posted. I got lucky, I got lucky, I didn't even have to load my message center for more C4D eye candy. Very cool shot, I've always loved semi-abstract landscapes. This shot has such beautiful tonal range and colors. I fell in love with the BW when I saw it on C4N, and I'm having a hard time deciding which I like better. This comment has taken me forever to write as I just opened up C4N and was sucked into echat...

That's some magnificent lighting and framing. Man, just look at those subtle transitions in the clay-like hills. That white, red, and tan mixture of repeating diagonal lines and jutting spires... mmm, yummeh. I couldn't ask for much more from a landscape picture, except maybe a multiframe stitch so I could witness more Thanks for sharing.
