This shot has a very hot feel to it for me. The rocks on the coast of the bank of the creek have that broken, sort of molten rock like look. Then the water rolling over the rocks that we canβt see looks a lot like lava in texture. The red of the weeds also helps to enhance this effect.

I think my favorite thing about this photo is how well balanced it is in both composition and exposure, which is essential when considering how much is going on in this photograph. It could've been overwhelming but came together.

A really stunning piece. I've missed seeing stuff from you (only because I've been busy, no fault of yours, clearly -- I've still got a backlog of your work to clear). What I really like about this: the warmth that's conveyed, the clouds, the textures (from the water to the craggy rocks -- a feast for the eyes) and just the overall feel of nature feelgoodliness.

Normally, I dislike wide-lens aberrations, but in this it works somehow. I think it is because of the already wispy nature of the sky and that we are already looking down into the creek bed (so that part of the distortion isn't so jarring). Glad you're still here, you've been rather quiet.

Beautiful shot, I just LOVE it when the clouds flow light that exactly in accordance with the sun's setting location. Perfect! You definitely know when to click the shutter to get the perfect ammount of star-effect from the sun but without any other flare. Awesome!
