Hey everyone, so this is more of a happy/sad entery. this is a drawing i had made to honer my pet lovebird tiki, who died over mothers day... of all days... i wanted this to be perfect as she was and i poured my heart and soul in every mark i had made. i was also detumed to get it in my colleges BFA, witch i did, that way i could say i couldn't have done it with out her. She was one of my muses for 13 years, also one of my best friends, she cheered me up when i was down and impspierd me to do more with my work. so yes i couldnt have done it with out tiki! I get that a lot, don't know how I feel about that... guess its kind of ironic. though I would never turn that into a coloring page I have too much respect to sell my bird, I would most likely just make another if someone asked.

i'm so sorry for your loss; i can't imagine what you have gone through since your little friend's passing. this is beautifully done and it is a wonderful tribute to your tiki! i'm sure she would be very happy that she has been immortalized in this amazing piece

thanks your kind words make a world of difference, though I will admit my heart has had time to heal a bit (she died last year on mothers day) but words still do help! thank you!

She was amazing and despite her passing she lives on in this photo and in all of our hearts!

DO YOUR HOMEWORK!!! sorry, I say that to everyone who says they want a bird. every bird is different and needs much more than a small change and seed. these guys are like kids (though sometimes many would like to) you can't just lock them in a small change and expect them to live a happy life. do your homework and see which bird best soots your life and experience. i trust you to know this already but just in case i always say something. it brakes my heart to see birds treated poorly so i always have to say something.

Yeah, budgies especially, they're small birds with big personalities that need a good home, and yes, I've researched about budgies before hand but every once in a while I refresh, I understand that you can't just get one for show, you HAVE to take care of them, thanks for a heads up^^
