This idea was sort of going through my mind lately and I was bored so I did this. Just matching characters that have similar personalities and traits, some of them even have similar poses if you look close enough, haha.
Sonic=Tai/Taichi
-They're both leaders and both love action and adventure!
Knuckles=Matt/Yamato
-Both friends/rivals of the leader and usually fight with each other.
Julie-Su=Sora
-Both tomboys and very caring toward their friends.
Tails=Izzy/Koushiro
-Obviously, both are really smart and good with technology.
Amy=Mimi
-Both like fashion and have ''girly'' attitudes.
Espio=Joe/Jou
-Well, they're both serious, I guess.
Charmy=TK/Takeru
-Both have child-like attitudes.
Cream=Kari/Hikari
-Both compassionate and cute.

Hey, have you tried comparing the Sonic characters with the Digimon Frontier characters too?
Sonic = Takuya
Tails = Tommy
Knuckles = JP
Amy = Zoe
Shadow = Koji
Silver = Kouichi
Do you see any irony behind the last two? Spirit-wise, anyway.

I don't know. It was just a quick and fun little thing I put together some years ago when I was really into Sonic. I still like Sonic, of course, just not as obsessed as I was back then. I do really love Frontier, just never thought about doing the same thing like I did with Digimon Adventure. It is funny about the last two pair-ups.

I love both Digimon and Sonic to death. These are one of the few NON magical girl animes I like very much besides Beyblade, Pokemon, Kirby and Mario and I hate when these two franchises are bashed simply for being ripoffs of other two franchises (Mario, Pokemon) when they're nothing like Mario and Pokemon.

Yeah, I hate when they get compared like that, especially Digimon. But, people who claim Digimon is "just a Pokemon ripoff" obviously hasn't seen enough of the show to see how different they really are. And it's not like they were the only shows about kids teaming up with monsters. It's pretty much an entire genre of it's own. Oh well, those people are missing out on an awesome show. Digimon is amazing and way better than Pokemon, imo.

Yeah, I couldn't decide between Izzy and TK for Tails, but he's brainy and good with computers like Izzy is. He'd be more suitable for the Crest of Knowledge than the Crest of Hope. At least that's what my reasoning was back then. But, he could go for either one.

He was the closest I could think of at the time. They both tend to be pretty serious in certain situations and the voice of reason. Course, I did this over 3 years ago.

I chose Knuckles because he was a bit of a loner at first like Matt, and he and Sonic tend to fight a lot, but they still have respect for each other, just like Tai and Matt. I'd probably match Shadow with the Digimon Emperor/Ken, but that's just me.

Listen this may sound crazy but I knew Tails and Cosmo and I know more about them then anyone I can tell you the whole story but it would probably take forever Tails is partnered with Tentomon and Cosmo has Patamon I too had a digimon Veemon Im not kidding I really knew them on a personal level

Ok. But how can that be possible when Sonic and Digimon are two totally different games/shows? It just sounds like a fanfiction to me, or a dream. =/
I mean, it would be cool if they did crossover, and if they were real, but I just did this picture for fun and because I thought these characters were very much alike and I wanted to point it out.

thats not what I meant it wasn't in a show or game or fanfic the real live Tails and Cosmo did have partner digimon I knew them for real if you want to know the whole story I will tell you but what I have to say will sound very crazy but I once had an adventure that would bring me into contact with every tv character in existence the real ones

sorry if I freaked you out im not crazy though I knew the real Tails and Cosmo they were like family to me especially Cosmo's mother Earthia. Sonic even used to call me speed demon so ... would you like to know the whole story sorry if im bothering you

I know, I didn't even notice the similar poses until I was putting it together. A couple of them are so similar in character that they could easily be the same person, it's so weird! And I just noticed Knuckles and Matt's bodies are at about the same angle, or at least bent the same way, with the way they are standing. It's just so cool how this turned out. xD

Hmmm...interesting line up. I once read a fic like this, involving the Digidestined turning into Team Sonic. The author's line up was ALMOST like yours (Tai - Sonic, Izzy - Tails, Matt - Knuckles), however, there were differences (Sora - Amy, Mimi - Cream, Joe - Big, TK - Cheese) (No Kari, because the fic took place just before the 8th child quest began). And the couples...Taiora (Tai/Sora) became Sonamy (Sonic/Amy), and Koumi (Koushiro (Izzy)/Mimi) became Taiream (Tails/Cream). Judging by this line up...Knuckles/Julie would be the new Sorato (Sora/Yamato(Matt)) and Sonic/Amy the new Michi (Tai/Mimi).
