Why should I? It's my picture. I drew it back when I was in high school 10+ years ago. I just thought it was a neat idea for a picture. It turned out really good, so I shared it on deviantART. And, according to the comments, people seem to love it (along with my PPG Riders picture based on Sonic Riders. Yes, there's another one!). Maybe someday I'll even make a digital version. I've loved Powerpuff Girls (the original, not the awful reboot) since it debuted in the mid-to-late 90s on the What-a-Cartoon show and then became it's own show. I was a big fan of Sonic in high school, too.Β
It's just fanart. It's not going to "come true." It would be cool if it were real, though.

People seem to "love" it, because they're blind. They don't know that the Sonic + Digimon crossover won't come true if the Sonic + PPG crossover ever does come true. Also, I feel that the Powerpuff Girls always see the Digimon as evil monsters.
On the contrary, it would NOT be cool if the Sonic + PPG crossover were real. Don't you know how much influence SEGA is getting from pathetic pictures like this one? I'd prefer the Sonic + Digimon crossover.

They love it because it's bringing two fandoms they love together. I like Digimon, PPG (the original), and Sonic. It was just an idea I thought would be fun to draw at the time. Crossovers have been a thing ever since fanfiction and fanart have been a thing, which is a really, really long time. Long before even the internet. Neither of those crossovers are EVER going to happen! It's just. for. FUN! Why is that so hard for you to understand? Are you young, perhaps? You sound like some 11 year old who just discovered fanart and thinks it's real or something. I've been doing this stuff since I was in middle school in the early to mid-2000s. Those PPG pictures were done when I was in high school about 10 years ago. I highly doubt that Sega is going to look at my 10-year-old art and go "hmmm! what a good idea?! I never would've thought of that on my own!"
And if they did want to all of a sudden make a crossover, they would have to consult the other party to agree to the crossover, Craig McKracken for PPG or Bandai/Toei for Digimon, which I doubt they would. Sonic has only had one crossover so far, and that was with Mario for the Olympic games. But, Sega is licensed under Nintendo now, so Sonic and Mario aren't really rivals anymore like they were in the 90s. And I wouldn't really call it a crossover, since the characters are just playing some sports games together. IMO, a true crossover would be to blend them under one story line. I couldn't care less if there was a crossover between Sonic, PPG, or Digimon because I know it's never gonna happen. I would be interesting, but neither of their universes really fit to be crossed-over. I haven't really played any of the recent Sonic games. The last one I played, I think, was Sonic Colors. I still like Sonic in general, but my focus has been on other fandoms.Β
And who are you to call my pictures "pathetic"? Just because YOU don't want one crossover to happen over the other? Really? You're insulting people's pictures (I've seen you're other comments) just because they don't fit YOUR ideas! Newsflash: Different fans have different ideas! And they have a right to draw or write about whatever fan idea they want. That's the beauty of creativity. I don't appreciate you trying to censor my artwork.Β

Really? Then why are there crossover games like "Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games", "Mario Hoops 3-on-3" (Mario and Final Fantasy), "Fortune Street" (Mario and Dragon Quest) and the "Marvel vs Capcom" series?

Those crossovers you mentioned are with other video game companies or franchises. Also, none of those are with Sonic. Sonic hasn't really had any crossovers, aside from Olympic Games and Smash Bros., that I'm aware of.
So? I'm a fan of both Digimon and Powerpuff Girls. I'm sorry you can't handle the fact that people like something you don't. Newsflash: you can't control and censor the internet. You sound like YoshiWii1, PrincessElizabeth013 and TrueLoveHeart94. They are all banned for their psychotic mind of wanting to make their ''original work'' canon, shipping canon and even wanted to exterminate a character that they hate.
Worst, on tweeter, TLH94 spits out his forced want on Sega because Amy is not a playable character in Sonic Mania and that Sonamy isn't in Sonic Boom season 2.
Of course, Sega tries to please the fans, yet the fandom is full of porn, bad fan-fictions, fetishes and many things. Every fandom has this: Mario, Rayman, MySims, PowerPuff Girls, Loud House, SpondeBob, Steven Univers... It's endless!

Yes, it was my favourite game as it combines my favourites games. (Fun Fact: I ignore what characters there are in, I play for fun and for challenge)
I don't know if it is fan-service or for showing what the Wii console can do. I haven't see the Mario/Sonic crossover fan material when I was young. So, I have no idea if Nintendo or Sega was influenced by fan-works or was it a pure coincidence.
Nintendo and Sega are both rich and popular video game industries.
Long time ago, Sega wanted to rivalise Nintendo by creating a new mascot. It was first Alex Kidd, then it changes to Sonic. Thus it become popular and Nintendo and Sega reach the same level.

For the olympic, SEGA wanted the younger audience to be interest in the Olympic games. It get the approval from the olympic 2008 Beijing license and from Nintendo to include the Mario characters, not only they are rival but to get the audience.
For the smash serie, it was a demand after a fake screenshot and the fact that Sonic appears in the Olympic Games. The demand of other mascots such as Mega Man and Pac-man also raise the case. But later, thoses appears in the Wii U and 3DS Games.

This is what we call "Promoted Fan". It's the case for Sonic Mania. The fangames developpers, one who makes the hack "Sonic Megamix", two who create the visual and one who remake the music, were hired for they capacity. SEGA didn't hire them by being blind.
The same thing hapenned in the Archie Comic, a fan-artist on DA was hired for drawing and coloring the pages.
Both are them are under the direction, thus, they can't make crossover. As they don't have the right to include character from the others series, especially thoses who aren't in the video game category such as comics or cartoons or books.
It's not because they are promoted fans that they will please the others fans with liberty. They are promoted fans to please the fans with the right track. Most of the fan are nostalgic and lives with classic, like the case with "Sonic Mania".

I'm sorry you don't like my pictures, but I'm not deleting them. Again, these pictures are over 10 years old. They ain't coming down as long as people still enjoy them (which they still do). So, deal with it. If you don't like them, you don't have to look at them. Not as simple as you think! Don't you know that just by looking at these Sonic/PPG pictures, those Sonic/Digimon fans can be easily influenced? They'd therefore abandon their Sonic/Digimon fandom, and it'd be too hard to influence them back to Sonic/Digimon fans! Sonic cannot team up with the Powerpuff Girls, and I don't want him to be manipulated by those brats into being enemies of the good Digimon! Instead, I want Sonic to have a good Digimon as his partner! I'm totally NOT fine if they DO decide to make a Sonic/PPG crossover instead of a Sonic/Digimon crossover!
