Description
Name: TsunamiFaction: Maximal
Alt. Mode: Bottlenose Dolphin
Function: Biologist
Motto: "My curiosity is as vast as the oceans."
Profile:
The only thing Tsunami enjoys more than riding the waves, the thrill of allowing them to push her through the water like a living torpedo, as the thrill of discovering something new.
And her new home of Earth is full of things she's never seen before. Full of wondering creatures, completely alien to cybertronian science. The endless possibilities compel her to constantly check under every shell, look into every hole, and peek behind every crevice.
She can't stand these awful Beast Wars that she's been dragged into, and has absolutely no taste for conflict. However, she can tolerate the loss of life the Maximal/Predacon engagements can create even less, and strives to help her Maximal companions end the Beast Wars as quickly as possible.
Abilities:
Tsunami has a built in sonar and radar system, that can detect objects as small as a guppy, from over a mile away. She can access this in both beast, and robot modes, and doesn't even need her sight, in water or on land.
In robot mode, she can channel these sound blasts in through her arms and out her hands, intensifying them into powerful sonic pulses. She can even upset water to the point of generating small, but powerful waves.
Weaknesses:
While fast and graceful in the water, Tsunami is practically useless on land, often requiring the aid of larger Maximals in order to get around with any sort of convenience. Likewise, she has very little way to shield herself from energon over-exposure, on land.

A wonderful pick you have. I think you did a very good job. I'm actually planning on doing a dolphin myself.
By the way, when you get a chance you should head over to my page. I would love your comments on some of my art.

I'd love to check out your gallery, by my connection is sub-dial up. I can't access DA, except extremely rarely.(I've been trying to respond to this message for days now)
I'll put it on my DA To-Do list.

Very nice. We need more organic Beast era things like this. To few artiest are into them. Most are busy with G1 and Beyformers. This one is excellent to. I was thinking of doing my own version of a dolphin, but its way down there on my list of to-do's. Please check out my beast era stuff and comment if you would. I would love having comments on them from someone who also likes these sorts of things.

Bayformers, blegh. Cannot stand movie verse. Terrible writing, horrible designs.
Beast Era, Animated, G2, and RiD are my favorites, so definitely agree that more focus should be put on things outside G1, Movie, and Prime.
And I'd love to come check out your stuff, but I can barely access Deviant Art on my sub-dial-up connection. Sorry. I'll put it on my to-do list as soon as I'm able to!

I have to agree with you... Bayformers sucked. I love the part in the third movie when Optimus executes Sentenal and Megatron in cold blood... After the latter saved him and asked for piece. And the fact he doesn't seam to care whenever his allies die lol Its the best. Tossed Jazzes remains aside in the 1st movie... Tossed Jetfire away like trash when he was done using his parts in the 2nd. Didn't even mention Iron hide dieing in the third. Yeah they got his character down perfectly -_-.

Hey, it's Tsunami! It's nice to see her again! She looks quite badass in this picture. Go dolphin ocs!
Btw, I'm curious, what's her history? Has she come from Cybertron, as opposed to waking up in a pod?

Thank you!
And she's from Cybertron. She's part of a Maxcop RP, involving two Maxcops (named Quicksilver and Road Rocket), and a Predacon reporter (A helicopter named Rave), investigating the maximal cover-up of the "destruction" of the Axalon.
Tsunami owns the ship they'll steal. Quicksilver will go on to take a sinornithosaur alt mode, while Rave, takes a crow. Road Rocket sacrifices herself to help them get off cybertron.

Oooo! What an awesome character! Ofcourse I have a penchant for aquaformers, beast or vehicle.
Oh, and a biology nitpick, Bottlenose Dolphins can't turn their necks like that, their vertebrae won't allow it, sorry, marine life enthusiast ...

And rats can't walk on their hind quarters, gorillas aren't bipedal, and velociraptors weren't scaly featherless giants either. Tazmanian Devils aren't brown, and no matter how much they claim it is, Jawbreaker isn't a hyenna.
And no animal featured in the series actually existed in the time frame the series is set (ESPECIALLY the germane shepard.)
All things given, that's an odd nitpick to have.
I've spent thirty years studying marine life, so I'm familiar with dolphin anatomy. The piece needed to have a bit of movement and life to it. But truth be told, she was intended as a river dolphin. But I couldn't make a proper colorscheme work.
And thanks!
