Well, I can relate to that: I live in Belgium, but I get most of my models at utterlyhorses.com (in Great Britain) and that seems to work out just fine.
Though I must agree that they aren't cheap!

I ordered a mare and a foal from them and I got them today.
They needed a lot of time to arrive though.
