WIP of a Z06 Wheel.Nothing much to say really. All poly modeled, got bored in class so I started doing this instead, haha. Its nowhere near finished, but I haven't worked on it in awhile, so I figured I'd post a wip shot for people to crit.
Its kind of a small render, so its hard to see all the details. Nothing is mapped, the text on the sidewall, all the ridges and bumps, its all modeled, no textures.

ahh! sorry guys, I rarely, if ever check this page.
There is no subsurface scattering, its just the material and the lighting that made it look like that. GI_Joe was used to give it a final gathered look.
The text was created in illustrator, then brought into maya as curves and finally converted into polys. I'll have a newer shot of it up soon.

I can't belive you have modelled the good year logo, culd you post a
Rendering with that strange plastical material uis awesome! Is there sub surface scattering?
