...because I'm a sucker for making these things apparently.Anyway, the only things really based on any MOTU canon are the uncle-nephew relationship of Montork and Orko, the romance of Orko and Dree Elle, and that Dree has a little brother. I'm just going hog wild with making up the rest of the family because I can, haha. With that, I might as well blab about them a little.
Esso: Montork's wife. She was a farmgirl that moved to Nosmirc City to work at the zoo. She had a knack for dealing with animals and knew a number of spells to handle them, and was not afraid of getting dirty if she needed to. She had a strong motherly streak, which made it hard for her when she and Montork had trouble with starting a family. Even so, she was fond of her husband, proud of him for being a great magician, but not afraid to tease him.
Ilyne: Montork's little sister and Orko's mother. She was an Empath known for her sweet and bubbly demeanor, and her number one priority was bringing joy to her fellow Trollan. She was talented in the arts and with people, and was often seen organizing events, telling stories, and even babysitting children. While she got annoyed with Montork for being overprotective at times, the two did have a strong sibling bond.
Unzo: Orko's father. He was a strong magician that impressed teachers and peers with his raw power and skill... but was also lacking in social skills and tended to keep to himself. Still, with his beginnings as an orphan that Montork had found in the Trollan wilds, he felt the need to prove his worth to everyone around him, even getting moody if he thought he fell short. Even with his connection to the others, he still worried he wasn't good enough for any love and respect.
Tragically, the previous three were killed during the Five Days of Wrath (more on that here) . Orko was just a baby at the time, and only Montork was left to raise him. He did a good job in raising him to be a good citizen and talented magician, though Orko might have grown up a bit spoiled and cocky over his magic. Orko does from time to time feel the absence of his deceased family members, though.
Seagg: Dree Elle's father. He's Trolla's Keeper of Artifacts, residing in the village of Telovia, and a fairly knowledgeable archaeologist. He's quite goofy in his personal life, making stupid jokes and tending to be a little clumsy, but he adores his family and will protect them as much as he protects the artifacts in his vault. Of course, since they're living beings that don't like to be restricted, he arms them with knowledge on artifacts and how to use them, and reminds his daughter to sing the Song of Protection to keep their town safe.
Kyren: Dree Elle's mother. She's a healer with a vast array of healing spells and a garden of herbs and spices to assist her endeavors. She is almost always calm and composed, which serves her well in dealing with patients and her children (though her son can be a handful). She can be a little sarcastic towards people she doesn't like and isn't afraid to scold people for being reckless, but she is overall respectful in her dealings with others.
Portrayed as an adult here (I almost had him in child form, but realized how weird it was to have him like that when his nieces and nephews are shown as adults) Dree's brother Yuka (or "Yukkers" as he's called by friends) is still a mischievous little twerp, though in this AU, his methods involve 'trick runes' which activate with a snap of his fingers. He mellows out as he gets older, and even trains to become a magician. While mid-level in his natural power, his creative use of those trick runes as an adult does make him a force to be reckoned with.
Dree grew up learning from her father, helping her mother, and looking after her brother, as well as helping out around town. She didn't have much of a social life due to her duties, but she was at least respectful and kind to her fellow townspeople (though she did butt heads with the mayor's daughter).
And then, there are Orko and Dree's children:
Eddym (a fierce, but loyal and loving battle mage)
Nyxie (a whimsical and funny little magician)
Ilyne II (a little punk of a Song Mage)
Esso II (a proper lady of a Song Mage)
Duska (spooky sorceress that keeps to herself)
Montork II (a more scholarly sort of mage)
There's a lot more to the stories of these Trollans, especially the story of Orko's parents and Montork, but I figured I oughta restrain myself so that this thing isn't too long.
It's a shame that Esso never got to see Montork grow the glorious beard.
