Description Had to draw the evil bonehead at some point.

For the personal AU, I prefer the Keldor backstory, albeit mainly following the general Classics storyline of the half-Gar prince, except with things from other canons (and some things of my own mind) mixed in, like:

~ Saryn, his mother from the DC comics, being a handmaiden to Miro instead of Grayskull.

~ She's also the one who killed the Queen during the little succession crisis following the Great Unrest and Miro's disappearance, as they never got along and often clashed over whose son was the legitimate heir (ironically, Keldor and Randor got along just fine before the murder); she disappeared to who-knows-where afterward. Keldor was blamed and then banished.

~ Evil-Lyn (or Evelyn at the time) having been the Court Magician at one point (like in the CGI series), with them becoming friends, swapping spells and tricks even though everyone else was wary about Keldor's magic talents, and siding with him when he was banished.

~ The power of Havoc (from the CGI series) would be an evil cosmic power here, with branches based on the Horde, the Snake Men, etc.
~ Keldor gets more and more corrupted by it feeding on his anger over his treatment over his life as he's learning the dark arts from Hordak (most of it is basically a magical Zoom call until a proper portal can be built). His 'graduation' in these arts involves stealing the Havoc Staff (the greatest Havoc weapon) from the ruins of Zalesia and fighting the Faceless One. After that, he, Evil-Lyn, and allies that they recruited during their banishment attack Eternos.

~ And during the kidnapping of the Royal Twins, he gets into a duel with Randor, as the latter and his crew managed to save baby Adam from being handed off to Hordak through a little portal. During the fight, Keldor falls into a pit of magic acid and is presumed dead... but Evil-Lyn intervenes in time and pulls him out when the King's forces have left, and takes him to Hordak, who then uses Havoc to turn him into Skeletor, binding it to his heart (which is basically no turning back on this evil gig, especially since Skelly needs that magic to stay alive).

~ It takes years for the Havoc to fully settle to the point where he can leave Hordak's Temple (after some time, he grows to resent Hordak for this and the job of just being a 'herald' for the Horde, thus wanting to strike out on his own and claim his throne), but he still commands various minions and mercenaries to kidnap Prince Adam, so that he could personally slay the prince.

~ When he's able to walk free, he starts gathering many of his old allies from his attempted coup, and they plan an attack on Eternos...

And there we go.
