Wayer Rune—Powerful mage from long ago who often liked to research and experiment. It was how he met his wife, it was how he made many discoveries about mind and memory magic, and it was how he came up with an unfortunately bloody way to end a war. Most of his life he was considerate, but once he turn to dark magic out of desperation, he lost much of his equinity—enough to be sentenced to Tartarus thanks to inventing and spreading a wolf plague (aka werewolves).

Family--Jamberry Rune (wife), Silver Rune (eldest son), Merry Joy (daughter), Pixie Dust (daughter), Harvest Moon (son), Destiny Star (youngest daughter)

Descendants: Quasar Rune, Kazam Rune, Silk Shimmer, Party Favor, and many unknown others

Weeping Willow—A forever emotional mare that somehow always finds some excuse to cry. Be it tears of sadness, tears of anger, tears of joy, or some other emotion, her emotions might just be a little too strong and her tear ducts a little too active. At least she’s good at her gardening job.

Family--Unnamed parents, Barkin Orders (eldest brother), Rounda Applause (older sister), Ringaling (older sister), Drumbeat (older brother), Quibble Pants (older brother), Midnight Howl (older sister), Victory Screech (older brother), Standin Soapbox (younger sister), Crash Course (younger brother)

Wheat Harvest—A peasant from long ago who takes pride in his farming and is quite protective of his family. He’s a stable foundation for all his loved ones, and is reliable shoulder to cry on. He was at first wary around unicorns and pegasi, but his sister ending up in one of Equestria’s first mixed marriages had him warming up to at least one unicorn.

Willow—A stoic filly that tends to stare at ponies of interest, only to look away when they look at her back. She doesn’t talk much, takes comfort in girly things like make-up, loves the feel of silk, and is obsessed with princesses. As a mare, she’s a beautiful model that can handle an audience, but an up close crowd can make her have a terrible breakdown.

Family--March Redwood (father), Honeysuckle (mother), Flora Peace (eldest sister), Bananas (older brother), Ash Tree (older brother), Olive (older sister), Alfalfa (older brother), Amber Waves (older sister), Kernel Grin (younger brother)

Windswept Goldenmane—A former star singer that has since waned in popularity, and is not pleased with the way his career was slowing down. Having become a host of the Shining Vocals competition to keep himself relevant, he’s also gracious enough to try to point his shy nephew Herald Angel to stardom. Never mind that Windswept himself is a smug, callous, self-centered snob…

Family--Mineral Jack (father), Flaxenmane (mother), Inkwell Coppermane (older brother), Moonlight Silvermane (younger sister)

Wingspan—A coach in a Cloudsdale flight school. He was competitive with his sister as a youth, but after getting kicked out of the Wonderbolt academy, he graciously accepted his defeat and took to training young ones. After his sister’s death, he named his daughters after her.

Winter Mist—A sarcastic little mare who has always preferred the cold snowy mountains over the sandy beaches of her hometown. Frequently deadpan, she is not very easily impressed, and more easily annoyed. Her favorite pastimes are all winter sports.
