A quiet tapping on the heavy oaken door of her cell woke Flossy. Startled she hopped of her mattress barely managing not to trip over the off white sheets now spilled across the stony floor. Untangling herself she fought back a wave of irritation, who dare awoke her at this hour? Ears pinned and lips curling into a sneer she tip toed forward. Whoever the perpetrator was was going to get a nasty bite and kick spree from the grumpy paint mare.

Quietly propping the door open she stuck her head out into the dimly lit hallways searching for her victim. There striking out with her front legs she hit flesh and heard a satisfying thump as this stranger backed up promptly.

"That's no way to treat your partner," a cocky sounding voice chuckled, "Now is it?"

Oops... "Well this is no way to wake up a lady," she shot back a little less irritated and more embarrassed, "Now is it?"

She was met with a deep rumbling laughter and the clip-clopping of hooves coming forward. A figure unfurled from the shadows and stood under the lamp light letting the light emphasize his features for full effect. And it had quite the effect. Flossy's jaw nearly dropped, here right in front of her, was the hottest stallion she had ever seen. Hottest by far!
And he was her partner! And she had struck him. Internally killing herself for pulling such a stupid move she checked him out unabashedly.

Cocking a hip and dipping her head she looked out at him from under long black batting lashes, "Name's Flossy. To whom might I have the pleasure of training with?"

"Flossy," he let her name roll off his tongue in a lazy drawl. He liked it, she had a beautiful name almost as beautiful as herself. "My name is Roland. And beleive me the pleasure is all mine."

Gicing her a playful wink he kicked up his heels and galloped off down the hall leaving Flossy pleasantly suprised and a little stunned. Leaping into the air she bucked out and raced towards him and out into the out dorr training area. As her strides lenghtened his shortened to match hers and they galloped side by side for a while. She dared not speak for fear of ruining the moment.

Sudenly he sped into a ground eating sprint and hurled himself over a brick wall. Closing her eyes in delighted fright she too lept over the wall and into the starry night Roland at her side.
