LOL...this is one from my archives...this piece is now 6 years old...i still was(& still am) learning a lot @ that point in time. Also i was more focused on colour rather than pencil & ink techniques. Depth was only achieved when colour was added...now i've switched focus & haven't coloured in ages....
I use ball & line construction (@ that point i was fiddling with it for c.4 years)...used to do freehand but that propagates too many needless errors.

oh btw its the top of a sentinels head she's sitting on.

Sorry, should have noticed it was from a while ago, what with the year in the title, doh! I dig the picture and can make out that it's a sentinal head but it took a while to figure it out, I would love to see this in colour if you have it.

Sadly i never got around to colouring it....
I plan to do a few pieces in colour shortly...just trying to finalise the shortlist & get all my media together.
You should see some colour pieces from me soon. (this might be one...might practise on this one )

This would be a great piece to practice on, get it inked and coloured and you'll also see how much you've changed over the years.
