Nice job. I love goofy teapots. I should post some of my own but this is my rightwing gallery.

I really like this one The only thing that bothers me is that it looks really difficult to wash out afterwards.

i like the reaplication of a familiar item an repurposing to a new use. The metal handle is a nice touch as well.

I was going to ask where you got the handle, and then I saw this comment. Was the person selling just the handle, or did you have to buy some contraption and take it apart?
I've seen pottery supply stores sell bamboo handles, but nothing like this! I'd love to know if you've got tips on where to find cool handles.
Love love love the teapot! Did you throw the body as a closed form, or did you add the flat top on afterward?

I have never found them again. I think I did a search for bucket handles or pale handles on ebay, something like that anyway.
And yeah, you nailed it. Its an enclosed form and I just pushed it around with a rib to get the shape right. Let it firm up a bit while I threw the other parts and then added the detail with a wooden knife tool.

It's really cool! It seems to be old and rustic.

Yeah I was really surprised how vivid the rusty red/brown came out in that glaze. Kiln gods favored me very much that day.
