Travis Oates is an American actor, voice actor, comedian, director, and writer.Of all his contributions to the motion picture industry, Oates is best known for being the current voice of Piglet for Disney’s “Winnie the Pooh” franchise after the death of John Fielder on June 25, 2005. He first began voicing the character for brief portions in “Pooh’s Heffalump Halloween Movie”, before voicing the character full-time starting with “My Friends Tigger & Pooh”. His most famous appearance as Piglet was in the 2011 “Winnie the Pooh” film, where he reprised the role alongside Jim Cummings as Pooh and Tigger. In addition to Piglet, Oates also filled-in for Fielder as Rudy the elderly man for “The Emperor’s New School”.
Aside from being a voice double for John Fielder, Oates provided additional voices for several video games, and played minor parts for some live-action shorts, movies, and TV shows. He also co-hosted a game show titled “Arena”, and he’s the owner & manager of a comedy club called ACME Comedy Club.
As a filmmaker, Oates wrote and directed a 2014 psychological horror film called “Don’t Blink”, which was distributed by Vertical Entertainment.
