Description
For those unaware, my first fanfiction was a Ben 10/Monster High harem story that turned out much better than I thought it would (I'm going back over to filter and censor out some of the more inappropriate and simply underrated bits). The basic premise that Ben is mysteriously dumped (quite literally) into the Monster High universe and has to find a way home, all while some sinister force back form his own universe tries to thwart him at every turn. The only issue is that Ben has ended up in New Salem, a total literally divided by one half that is made entirely up of monster-hating normies (humans) and the other half comprised of monsters that just want to be left alone and greatly fear the humans; basically, the monsters are the victims here and half the stuff that the normies claim are not even true. Ben however, stuck between both sides being a human and possessing the ability to transform into millions of extraterrestrial species that bare resemblance to quite few monsters, has to chose one in this silent war without succumbing to the dark forces that predate on him and losing the ghouls that he slowly comes to love (is a harem fanfiction, just a reminder).

The sequel is an Ever After High story, taking all the ghouls and Ben from the previous story. Much like the first, Ben is mysteriously dropped into the world of Ever After High and with the school divided over the destiny conflict, a fight that claims whether or not the offspring of famous fairy tales should follow their legacy, good or bad, it's just about ready to be torn in half and reduced to rubble. As if that wasn't bad enough, Ben is separated from his ghouls and ends up catching the eye of more than a few princesses and maidens, all with the Headmaster breathing down his neck and the ever present feeling that something is off. As if that weren't bad enough, it seems that despite not even being of the world of Ever After, Ben has a very important destiny that involves everyone he could ever know and care about that will decide the fate of Ever After forever.

Thankfully, Ben isn't alone in his endeavors. At the end of We Are Monsters, he gifted each of his ghouls with a copy of the Omnitrix (after much convincing to Azmuth) with a limit of two transformations that they can chose from that will steadily expand to be nearly as big as Ben's. For the moment however, the ghouls are getting use to their new found power, learning how to be true heroines and Plumbers, all while trying to keep up with their school duties at Monster High and the latest senses of fashion.

Let me just start off by saying that this single image has the most amount of limbs that I have ever drawn and it will most likely to continue to hold that record: 14. That includes all arms, legs, and wings for those that are confused. Go ahead, you can look over all my other drawings. I'll wait . . .

This here is Avea Trotter, one of two hybrid ghouls that are a part of Ben's harem. For those that aren't familiar with Monster High lore, Avea is a hybrid of a harpy (her mother) and a centaur (her father), both of which are technically hybrids themselves (don't ask me how that works. Especially how Avea was conceived in the first place given how big horses are in relation to birds, even human-sized ones . . .). Being a hybrid hasn't given her the best treatment by her peers and she and her other hybrid friends - Neighthan Rot, Bonita Femur, and Sirena Von Boo - would constantly bounce around from school to school until they finally landed at Monster High and found a home where they wouldn't be judged by their less than natural appearance (at least, natural for monsters).

Personality wise, Avea tends to be hot-tempered and highly opinionated, due to her rough upbringing and treatment by her peers before her days at Monster High, and I wanted to reflect that in whichever alien I chose for her. Since Skelita already had an Appoplexian transformation, I went with an alien that not only matched her foul temper, but also had multiple limbs like her own; it was either a Tetramand or an Arachnichimp and I had a feeling that Avea would be more suited for the former given Princess Looma's practical obsession with either wedding Kevin/Ben or beating her latest rival, Attea, to a bloody pulp. Granted, Avea tends to be less likely to become snappish when in the company of her boyfriend, but even he's not safe when she's having a bad day . . .

For those that are curious, I decided to portray Avea in a more casual style than how she's depicted with Monster High canon, with a small twist that I believe should really been employed. The design was inspired by this image and I just couldn't get it out of my head once I saw. I mean, centaurs have the general modesty to wear clothing on the upper half of their body - particularly females - so why not make something to cover up the lower half of their body for both sexes? The blanket draped along Avea's lower back is a cross between a skirt and a horse blanket, which allows her easy movement while remaining modest and fully clothed instead of - technically - being half naked.
